Augusta — Sunday was not the first time Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson went toe-to-toe in a tournament.
It was their second time in the Masters, 11th time in a major championship and the 24th time in their careers.

Woods and Mickelson last played together in the first and second rounds of the 2008 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines. Woods, of course, went on to win before taking the rest of the season off for knee surgery.
Woods also won when paired with Mickelson in the final round of the 2001 Masters. He shot 68, Mickelson shot 70 and David Duval shot 67 to slip into second place.
After Sunday’s play, Woods led the head-to-head 11-9-4. But both players said it wasn’t a duel between them.
“I don’t think we were really paying much attention to what the other was doing,” Mickelson said. “We both were more concerned about trying to make birdies to catch the leaders than what the each other was doing.”
Said Woods: “You just go about your own business. Phil was obviously playing well but I still trying to post 11 [under par]. I wanted to shoot 65 today. I thought that would be a good number to post. Obviously I didn’t do it.”
