Famous finishing hole went from relative pushover to punishing, playing uphill and feeling more like 500 yards. Uphill drive of 335 yards, preferably shaped left-to-right, is needed to carry larger fairway bunker complex. Getting to the top tier with second shot on Sunday is paramount. • History: In 1988, Sandy Lyle's 7-iron from the fairway bunker turned into a winning birdie putt. In 1998, Mark O'Meara sank a 20-footer for birdie to earn a green jacket at age 41. In 1961's rain-delayed finish, Gary Player got up-and-down from the greenside bunker for the victory, by one shot, when Arnold Palmer double-bogeyed from the bunker. |
