Greg Reid of Lowndes, Branden Smith of Washington and Washaun Ealey of ECI are Parade All-Americans.

The three Georgia players will be among the 58 announced to the All-American team in Parade’s Jan. 25 issue, which is a Sunday supplement in the Journal-Constitution.

Reid, the AJC all-class player of the year, is a 5-foot-10, 175-pound cornerback and halfback who is listed as an all-purpose player on the Parade team. He is the first Lowndes player to make it since linebacker Freddie Richardson in 1987.

Reid is uncommitted after breaking up with Florida earlier this month. He has been the most valuable player of two high school all-star games since his senior season ended.

Smith, who has committed to Georgia, is a 5-11, 170-pound defensive back. He is the fourth player to make it from Atlanta’s Washington High. The others were Georgia safety Reshad Jones (2006), running back Nick Turner (2002) and end Damon McCurty (1978).

Ealey, a 5-11, 205-pound running back who has committed to Georgia, is Georgia’s all-time leader in touchdowns scored with 133. He is his school’s first Parade All-American.

Three University of Georgia commitments made the Parade team. The third is quarterback Aaron Murray of Plant in Tampa.

The Parade national player of the year is Garrett Gilbert of Lake Travis High in Austin, Texas. Gilbert plans to sign with the University of Texas.

Parade began selecting high school football All-Americans in 1963.
