Columbia's Travis Leslie claims the slam dunk title

This year, it wasn't a slam dunk. Readers of ajc.com voted Travis Leslie of Columbia High School as having the best dunk for 2008, by a narrow margin over South Atlanta's Derrick Favors. For the past week, readers checked out the videos of 10 of Metro Atlanta's top high school dunkers and voted on their favorite. Over 16,000 votes were submitted, with Leslie topping Favors by 500 votes, 5969 to 5464. Last year's winner, Decatur's Jerron Stone, bested the field easily.

Thanks to everyone who voted. We'll do it again in 2009.
