Wade said he took medication to help him get some sleep. He arrived at Miami’s home arena on Tuesday morning for rounds of treatment and massage, and will continue getting worked on until Wednesday night.

Wade was hampered by back spasms in Miami’s 81-71 Game 4 loss to Atlanta on Monday. The best-of-seven series is tied 2-2.

Moon out for playoffs

Heat forward Jamario Moon will miss the remainder of the postseason because of a sports hernia that will require surgery, meaning he may have played his last game in a Miami uniform. Moon suffered what was diagnosed as a lower abdominal strain in Game 3 of Miami’s first-round series against the Atlanta Hawks. An MRI revealed further problems, and Moon will have season-ending surgery Thursday. The team said he will need two weeks to rest after the surgery, and will be re-evaluated at that time. Moon is due to become a free agent this summer. The Heat acquired him and Jermaine O’Neal in February, in a deal that sent Shawn Marion to the Toronto Raptors.
