The team also announced Monday that former Tech player Duane Ferrell was named Player Relations and Programs Manager. Ferrell worked for Washington from 2001-04 in player development.

“Coach Woodson thought it was important that we add a shooting specialist to the staff,” Hawks general manager Rick Sund said in a statement. “Mark is recognized as one of the premier shooters in the history of the league, and is a welcome addition to our coaching staff.”
