Georgia Tech football players aren't the only ones getting an education during Tech's first week of spring football practice.

High school and college coaches roam the sidelines watching every drill to see what they can learn. Dan Galante came all the way from Chicago to spend his spring break at Rose Bowl Field and, between practices, watch video at Tech's football offices.

His school, Saint Patrick, is installing Tech coach Paul Johnson's offense this year.

"I figured it was a chance to get out of the snow and learn some football," Galante said. "Paul Johnson's been doing this [offense] for a long time."

He's not the only one from out of state to travel to Atlanta to learn Johnson's system and how to install it. High school coaches from Kentucky, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina have made the trip this week, as well as college coaches from Shorter, VMI, Florida A&M and Nicholls State.

It's just a trickle before the flood to come next week, when Tech hosts its coaches' clinic, with presentations from every coach on the Yellow Jackets staff.

Cost of the clinic is $40 per person and details are available by clicking here.
