Although Causey returned to Wednesday's game at Duke in the second half after hitting his head following a collision with Duke guard Greg Paulus on the final play of the first half, he did not practice Friday as he visited a doctor on his family's wishes.

He passed cerebral and physical tests administered by Tech trainer Richard Stewart after being injured Wednesday, but he was seen on ESPN at least twice with his eyes fluttering in the second half.

Although he said Thursday he did that on purpose, that it was not involuntary, he was held out of Saturday's game.

Coach Paul Hewitt said a decision on his playing status Monday will not be made "until the game time. We'll see how he feels. His family, all of us, kind of felt like nobody can guarantee that he's going to get hit on the head again, or not get hit.

"We were talking about it, and I know [Causey's mother, Nancy] feels comfortable with the decision. [Matt's] probably not as comfortable."

Causey, a senior from Gainesville, is averaging 7.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
