With the NFL draft set for Saturday and Sunday, the Falcons are prepared to take calls about trading the rights to quarterback Michael Vick.

“Possibly, but we are focusing on the whole franchise as far as the roster,” Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said on Tuesday. “As you know we are always open to entertaining offers and have discussions about players on this roster.”

The Falcons have the 24th pick overall in the first round.

Last season, after selecting quarterback Matt Ryan with the No. 3 pick, Dimitroff traded back into the first round to select left tackle Sam Baker with the 21st overall pick.

Dimitroff said he’s prepared to move up or down and is ready if someone wants to acquire the rights to Vick, who’s currently on the roster but suspended indefinitely from the league. The former No. 1 overall pick in 2001 is set to be released from federal custody in July.

“I think it’s important to understand with Michael right now, that we are kind of anchored in and focused on the draft, but if someone does want to discuss Michael Vick with us we’ll definitely entertain the discussions during the draft,” Dimitroff said.
