Falcons in playoffs if they beat Vikings today

It’s very simple now: Win and they are in.

The Falcons need only beat the Vikings this afternoon to clinch a playoff berth.

The Falcons can clinch a berth because Dallas lost to Baltimore on Saturday and Tampa Bay lost at home to San Diego early Sunday.

It will be the Falcons first trip to the playoffs in three years. They last made it following the 2004 season, when they advanced all the way to the NFC Championship game.

If they Falcons lose today, they can still make the playoffs depending on the outcome of the final week of the regular season.
