Falcons-Broncos sold out, will be televised locally

Flowery Branch - The Falcons game against the Denver Broncos at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Georgia Dome is sold out, according to a team spokesman.

NFL teams, per league rules, have until 72 hours prior to kickoff to sell out their games or face not being televised locally. The game will air on CBS.

The Falcons are 6-3 and one of the surprise teams of the league. Denver is 5-4 and feature the league’s No. 2 rated passer in Jay Cutler.

For the season opener, the Falcons turned to their sponsors to help sell out the Detroit game. The announced attendance for that game was 62,310.

Games against Kansas City (62,434), Chicago (64,096) and New Orleans (64,826) have also been announced as sellouts.

The Georgia Dome lists capacity at 71,250.
