Adam Jennings, the Falcons’ main punt returner for most of the last two seasons, was released Tuesday.

Defensive end Brandon Miller, a former standout at Georgia, was added to the active roster from the practice squad. Chandler Williams, a wide receiver who was with the team during training camp, was added to the practice squad.

Jennings lost the return job two games ago. The sixth-round draft pick from Fresno State made a costly error in a game against Philadelphia on Oct. 26. Jennings awkwardly tried to field a punt that was ruled a fumble in the fourth-quarter. The Eagles ran out the clock.

Rookie wide receiver Harry Douglas has taken over the main punt returner role the last two games. Brian Finneran also returned a punt against Oakland.
