Flowery Branch — Falcons team officials announced that Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs at the Georgia Dome was sold out before the 1 p.m. Thursday deadline and will not be subject to the league’s blackout policy.

Reggie Roberts, vice president of football communications, confirmed the sellout shortly after Thursday’s deadline.

Per NFL rules, the game must be sold out by 1 p.m. Thursday or it will not be televised locally.

Unlike the season opener where several sponsors purchased the remaining tickets to avoid a local TV blackout, the team announced that fans snapped up the remaining tickets for Sunday’s game.
