Flowery Branch — Running back Michael Turner came away from Sunday’s loss to Tampa Bay with a sore right ankle, but it’s something he doesn’t think is serious.
“It’s one of those things you get rolled up into, and you’ve got to walk it off a little bit,” Turner said. “Just a little sore. Nothing major.”
Head coach Mike Smith said Grady Jackson’s swollen knee had improved, after he was a surprise inactive Sunday. He is expected back in practice this week.
Cornerback Brent Grimes left the game in the second quarter for a couple of plays and was replaced by Domonique Foxworth.
“I got the wind knocked out of me a little bit,” Grimes said. “I had to take a couple of plays off.”
