The Falcons released center Doug Datish on Monday. The 2007 sixth-round draft pick from Ohio State had a hard-luck rookie campaign. During training camp, Datish suffered a dislocated finger on his left hand that required surgery. He then broke his right wrist and was placed on injured reserve for the season.
"I couldn't play with two casts so they threw me on IR," Datish told the AJC during a team minicamp this year. "I hadn't missed a game my whole life, so to miss a whole year was pretty bad."
