Former UGA star Thomas Brown signs with Falcons
Only five draft picks remain unsigned

The Falcons signed another draft pick Wednesday, reaching a deal with sixth-round draft pick Thomas Brown. He is the sixth of 11 2008 NFL draft picks to be signed by the team.

The running back from the University of Georgia, finished as the school's fifth leading rusher with 2,646 yards. Brown, 5-foot-8, 204 pounds had a total of 3,767 all-purpose yards, fourth all-time at Georgia.

Brown attended Tucker High and was an AJC Super 11, Super Southern 100 and Class AAAA All-State choice as a senior. He rushed for 1,632 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior and 941 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior.

The Falcons have already signed Matt Ryan, Chevis Jackson, Thomas DeCoud, Keith Zinger and Wilrey Fontento. The draft picks still unsigned are Sam Baker, Curtis Lofton, Harry Douglas, Robert James and Kroy Biermann.
