In another move involving the shakeup of the front office under new Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff, David Caldwell was hired to be the director of college scouting.

Caldwell was a regional scout with Indianapolis for the past 10 years. He replaces Phil Emery, who was re-assigned to be the Eastern region scout for the Falcons. Emery, a long-time scout with the Chicago Bears, has been Atlanta's director of college scouting since 2004.
