Falcons defensive back Jimmy Williams did not attend the last two days of the minicamp for personal reasons, he told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Thursday.

"I talked to the coach and he understood my situation," Williams said. "My priority was making sure that they understood and he understood. That's the only person I have to focus on."

Williams attended the first day of minicamp on Monday and practiced at the No. 3 safety spot. He met with Falcons coach Mike Smith following the practice and left the team's practice facility. He missed practices Tuesday and Wednesday.

Smith said he did not have a problem with Williams missing the camp, which was voluntary.
