The late Skip Caray was remembered during an emotional ceremony before the second game of the doubleheader between the Braves and Cubs Wednesday night.
The legendary broadcaster, who died Aug. 3, was accorded a 21-gun salute by the Atlanta Police Deparment Honor Guard after highlights of his 33-year career with the Braves were shown on the center-field video board.

The main television booth was renamed the Skip Caray Broadcast Booth, and broadcaster Joe Simpson helped unveil the sign affixed below the window as the crowd gave a standing ovation.
His son, Chip Caray, also a Braves and TBS broadcaster, spoke eloquently, his voice raspy from the effects of a cold, and thanked Skip's broadcast partners, including Pete Van Wieren, along with Braves officials, manager Bobby Cox and his players, and Braves fans.
Six of Caray's seven grandchildren threw ceremonial first pitches.
The Braves also wore "SKIP" patches on the right sleeves of their jerseys, which they'll wear for the rest of the season.
