Philadelphia — Chipper Jones was out of the lineup Friday and considers himself "doubtful" for the rest of Phillies series with his left hamstring strain.
"If I'm hurting just sitting here, it's not day-to-day," said Jones, who at best thinks he can pinch hit Saturday or Sunday. "It's not going to be miraculously better tomorrow."

Jones, who leads the majors with a .369 batting average, has missed 13 games this season with a quadriceps tear, groin strain and back spasms, but this would seem the most serious.
"With a quad you can temper it to a certain extent, but a quad doesn't really bother me sitting around, walking, hitting," Jones said. "The hamstring pretty much affects whatever you do."
Jones said going on the disabled list for the first time this season is a possibility. It's probably something the Braves wouldn't act on until after this series.
Entering Friday, the Braves were 3-9 in games Jones didn't play.
"There's never a good time for me personally," Jones said. "But this is a series where we need to be full strength. ... we're playing a lot of good teams in the hunt [this stretch], not just Philly, but St. Louis and Milwaukee. Some guys are going to have to step up."
Injury updates
• Tim Hudson said his right elbow was feeling better after the off-day Thursday, and he didn't think he would miss his upcoming start, scheduled for Tuesday against the Cardinals.
"It's just one of those things I've got to get treatment, get the inflammation down and get ready to go," said Hudson who felt tightness in his elbow throwing six shutout innings in Florida on Wednesday, which he attributed to throwing more split-finger pitches than usual.
• Tom Glavine threw his third bullpen session in his comeback from a partially torn flexor tendon in his elbow. He threw 50 pitches Friday at about 80 percent. "It's another step in the right direction," Glavine said.
He plans to throw one more bullpen session on this trip Sunday and, if all continues to go well, throw a simulated game Wednesday at Turner Field.
