San Diego — Yunel Escobar is scheduled to have an MRI on his troublesome left shoulder Monday and said Saturday that he was concerned "a little bit."
The Braves' shortstop missed five games June 25-July 1 after injuring the shoulder reaching for first base when he dove back trying to avoid a double play.

He got a cortisone injection when the injury didn't heal as quickly as hoped. After getting the shot, he returned to the lineup and started seven consecutive games before he was scratched Friday.
Escobar reinjured the shoulder while tagging a runner in Wednesday's series finale against the Dodgers, and manager Bobby Cox said Escobar would miss the entire three-game series against San Diego.
Escobar said Saturday that the injury was in the same place as the previous strain, and he didn't know if he would be ready to play Friday when the Braves return from the All-Star break.
He said he wouldn't know more until after the MRI.
"Hopefully it's nothing serious," Cox said. "He's got some issues in there."
