Lake Buena Vista, Fla. - Braves manager Bobby Cox's mother-in-law, Dell Boswell, died Monday in Adairsville after a long illness.

Cox left the team Monday night and isn't expected back until Thursday. He will attend Boswell's funeral Wednesday in Adairsville, where Cox and wife Pam make their home.

The Braves will have their first full-squad workout on Wednesday.
