If Stafford comoes back, yhey may be able to navagate through this schedule with only one lose to Florida maybe 2 depending on who will be LSU’s qb. Ok State could be dangerous, but that Defenseis suspect.
By some sense

Looks like we will eek out a win against South Carolina or we could lose. I think we drop to 9 - 4 next year ! BTW UGA wins in the Chick Filet Bowl against Clemson!

Do you know what jumps out to me more than anything when I see this sked…..a BYE week before Florida. That helps out hugely for the Dawgs. If Stafford leaves early and Moreno stays. Richt should spice up the offense with a little bit of spread offense formation with Logan…yes.. Logan Gray at the QB helm. He has a ton of talent. Like D.J. Shockley had. I had a feeling that the Dawgs would underachieve this year with all the National Champ “talk”. The Dawgs don’t need that attention next year nor do they really want it until late in the season. Just shut up, stay out of trouble and play football Dawgs. Watch out for 2009…..seriously.

If Stafford goes pro, next season sets up a lot like the 2006 season at the QB position:
Joe Cox is like Tereshinski Logan Gray is like Blake Barnes Two Freshmen: Zach Mettenberger and Aaron Muarry (Cox and Stafford). I think Cox is a step above Tereshinski, he was a proven winner in High School and even though he doesn’t have the arm strength of Stafford, from what I have seen (the spring game and limited Playing time) he has a great touch on the ball….and he doesn’t look for the long ball every play.
Logan Gray saw limited action in spring game. If he is athletic enough to return punts then why wasn’t he used in a wild(hog, cat) DAWG formation. I was a little surprised we didn’t see any of that in the bowl game.
We will see about the 2 freshmen.

When Georgia was ranked #1 in every magazine and poll, I knew it wasn’t happening. The schedule was one of the toughest in the nation, and the injuries just piled up one after another. I was shocked how many players came out of the tunnel at the Capital One Bowl in their jersey and sweatpants. 2009 should be one of Georgia’s greatest seasons. The schedule isn’t as rough as this year, and there is an off week before Florida. Plus, we have from now until September 4th to prepare for Oklahoma State. If Stafford goes on, I have always had faith in Joe Cox, and Logan Gray really impressed me at G-Day. If you don’t have faith in Joe Cox just think back to the Colorado game in 2006.

Ga.’s going to be to a good team next year, but will be a Great team if Stafford and Moreno return. Injuries, break down on the special teams, poor tackling on defense are things that Ga.’s coaches should be able to correct.-Go Dawgs!!!!!!!-Ga. Defense showed the whole world that they are for real against a good Michigan State team.-I’m already getting excited about the 2009 season!!!!!!

O.K. all you “faithful” UGA fans that think everybody in the conference has a better head coach than UGA what do ya’ll think about the Almighty Saban now? He doesn’t look so appealing after taking two in a row on the chin does he. To all the people that want the entire coaching staffs heads on platters how about showing a little faith. Richt didn’t get to where he is by being stupid. Problems on defense and special teams are fixable.

Blade,
What are you smoking? Starting off in Stillwater, and later ASU, LSU, and UT in three-straight weeks before finishing up the year with AU, UK, and GTU.
This schedule is more difficult than this year’s. God help us, and F the gaytors.

Seeing how Alabama’s O-line got whipped in the Sugar bowl makes me appreciate the depth and coaching regarding UGA’s offensive line this year.
And that schedule looks tough as always, I think 7 2008 bowl teams, and I figure 8-10 2009 bowlers on there…

Bulldogs play in Jacksonville every year because Florida has convinced our athletic department that getting to play in Florida every year is a vacation. I hope we don’t buy any time-shares from them with our football money. Stupid, stupid, stupid,

Georgia played the Capital One Bowl just like they payed against every other team on the schedule this year. They waited till the second half to play ball. UGA ashould have blown out Michigan State, they should have hung 50 on UT, and they should have destroyed Tech (talk about a lucky win). The only loss they should have really had awas against the Gaytors. I wish UGA could rematch the Crimson Tide who just got the butt kicking of a life time…OUCH. I agree next years schedule looks just as tough as 2008’s. Look for Knowshon to Be a Denver Bronco next season. Goooo DAWGS!

UGA will not be ready and will be suprised when they come into the Grand Opening of the New Okla. State Stadium. This will be another Utah vs Ala game where this is an early season bowl game for OSU and just a non-conference road game for UGA.

Just another non-conference road game for GA should have you scared sh*tless considering CMR is 33-3 against non-conf teams and he’s undefeated in non-conf stadiums.

Weak schedule? What have you been smokin’ with your Kool-Aid? There are eight potential losses there. Six of these teams will finish in the top 20 this year. The only easy game on the schedule is TN Tech and possibly TN. Spurrier will have the chickens back on track, you can count on that. Les Miles will have LSU back in the hunt. Auburn has the talent but it just depends on how well a first-year coach can do. AZ State and OK State will be good again as well. Bottom line is — you’re a moron.

I don’t want to be too negative, but it may be Oct. 17 before the Dogs get three wins. Wrong time to get OK State there. We never know what will happen with little uSC. LSU will be better. TN will be better in Knox. Plus, serious coaching upgrades there. Anything could happen the last half of the season. I wouldn’t be surprised with an 8-4, in fact, considering, that’s probably optimistically realistic. A fifth loss wouldn’t be too surprising. I guess it all depends on how motivated the team becomes next year. If they have no more fire than they did this year, we’re in for some misery.

Obviously our success will depend on whether Knowshon and Matt return. I personally don't feel that Matt is ready to join the NFL ranks. A lot of successful NFL QB's stood in school for four years. Oklahoma State, South Carolina, Arizona State, LSU, UT, FLA, and GT are going to be our toughest games. That's not to say that the other opponents couldn't shake things up, though.By Mike T.

Can’t see UGAy winning more than five games with this schedule. They will lose Jr’s to the NFL, and another four or five to suspensions and discipline issues. On the other hand, the Jackets look to bring everyone back and the triple option will run the table in the ACC. ‘09 will be the Jackets year for the NC. Bank on it.

As a UGA grad living in Dallas, Texas, I have to get my info from the internet. It is such an aggravation during football season to have all of the advertisements of Tech Football tickets for sale when you go into the AJC sports section. I really did love the time they offered free hot dogs and cokes with the purchase of each ticket. What an embarrassment!

If the off week is so important, how come it didn’t help this year as we prepared for one of the most predictable offenses in college football.
I could care less about Stafford, but if Moreno leaves I think we’re looking at another 9-3 or even 8-4. We will have quarterbacks who can be as effective as Stafford. They aren’t as physically gifted as him, but they can be just as effective. But we don’t have anyone close to Moreno.
King is getting worse every time he gets on the field. Samuel is tough, but not elusive. The jury is out on Jackson and Ealey. Without a running game, it doesn’t matter who is qb.

We’ll lose the first 3 games. Opening on the road at OK State will be no walk in the park. The SC game will be close as usual, they should’ve beat us this season. The ole ball coach will have something up his sleeve. We’ll be battered and bruised by the Ark game and won’t put up much of a fight. Just hope we’re not ranked #1 again for next season.

You look at the schedule and 2 games really concern me early: Ok. St. and Arkansas. Both trips out west will be tough. I think that Arkansas will be much improved and dangerous out there and I think that Ok. St. is also very dangerous with all the talent they have coming back. I agree with PTC DAWG that the OOC games we have are just as good as anybody else. Look at some of these OOC schedules for example: FLORIDA- Charleston Southern, Troy, Florida International ALABAMA- Florida International, North Texas, Chattanooga, Virginia Tech TEXAS-UTEP, Central Florida, Wyoming, Louisiana-Monroe TENNESSEE- Western Kentucky, Ohio, Memphis, and UCLA DAWGS-Oklahoma State, Arizona State, Tennessee Tech, and Georgia Tech Which one of these schedules would you pick? I would pick ours last. We have our hands full but we also have loads of talent. We need Stafford to say and make another run. GO DAWGS!!

Leaving a noteworthy legacy would be one reason for Moreno and Stafford to consider returning to UGA for their senior year. Legacy is not about money it is about what you would like for history to record. You cannot put a dollar amount what it means to be a legend. If either Moreno or Stafford leaves now they will be noted as outstanding players but neither will have left much of a legacy. Frank Sinkwich, Charlie Trippi, Fran Tarkenton, Johnny Rauch, Bill Stanfill, Jake Scott, Buck Belue, Lindsay Scott, Hershel Walker, Hines Ward, David Greene, D.J. Shockley have been immortalized in UGA lore. That is something that money cannot buy. If getting the money is more important and if leaving now would afford the best opportunity, then take it.
