Write us a Tech-UGA headline

In one of the most exciting games in the rivalry’s history, Georgia Tech defeated Georgia Saturday.

It was the Yellow Jackets’ first victory over the Bulldogs since 2000.

What headline do you think would best fit the game? Share it with us (and keep it clean, please).

Your take on the Peavy trade talks?

Did the Braves make a mistake in not doing what it took to complete the trade for Padres pitcher Jake Peavy? Or do you think GM Frank Wren was wise to not give up too much for one player? Where do the Braves go from here?

Reports: Raiders to release DeAngelo Hall

Looks like DeAngelo Hall’s stay in Oakland will be a short one.

NFL.com and ESPN are reporting the Raiders will release the former Falcon defensive back Wednesday, just three days after the Falcons’ 24-0 romp of Oakland.

The Falcons sent Hall to Oakland for a second-round pick in March.

What has happened to the former All-Pro cornerback out of Virginia Tech? Has he lost a step? Has he lost the motivation to play? Or was he overrated from the beginning? Any thoughts on where he might land next?

Woodland accepts Osborne football forfeit request

Osborne has eight starters out and a roster of less than 30 players. The Cardinals asked to forfeit their final game Friday against a Woodland-Cartersville team that crushed it 48-0 in September.

Woodland wanted to play, but has now agreed to the forfeit.

Was this the right decision? Why do you think Woodland changed course?

Fulmer out at Tennessee

Longtime Tennessee head coach Phillip Fulmer has reportedly agreed to step down after the end of the 2008 football season. Fulmer, himself a former Vols player, has coached Tennessee for 17 straight seasons but this year is suffering through a season in which his team is 3-6, last losing to South Carolina Nov. 1.

Who do you see taking over at Tennessee once Fulmer is gone? How will his exit affect the Vols’ SEC rivals, including Georgia, Alabama and Florida? Do you expect a slew of recruits to decommit from Tennessee?
