My questions to you is,” Why are you reading this paper if you are in Cal? We have he worse writer in America. Terrence Moore. This guy thinks people in this town like him. I can’t wait until UGA stumbles in a game. He will write a page on how stupid all of us are believing in a team where we grew up. I wish he was back up North. Anyone want him?
Oh yeah, ESPN Game Day will have all UGA games. Order it.

I heard that all Waffle House restaurants (coast to coast) were showing the GA/GSU game via a satellite hook up to their jukebox machines. Not sure exactly how they are doing this but plan on catching the game at the one close to my place. By the way, did you hear what’s got 4 boobs and 3 teeth? TWO Waffle House waitresses!

Normally, when a game is shown PPV on CSS, the ESPN gameplan channel airing the same game will be blacked out for state of GA?? Is this not the case?? If you see the listing on ESPN gameplan, you should notice an asterisk next to it, I assume that means a blackout, atleast in past years this was the case, Does Anyone know for sure??? CSS isn’t offered here in South GA, so with the apparent blackout of ESPN gameplan, looks like I will have to relocate to FL for the day to see my DAWGS!!

People, its the same thing every year…you can only get the game on comcast ppv!! NOT ESPN gameplan or any dish networks. Next year you can get UGA games on Gameplan under the new espn/sec contract, so until then enjoy the worst sports production team around w/ Raycom and its tecmo bowl style presentation on comcast.

I am stuck in Columbus, OH and will be getting the game on ESPN Gameplan, cost like 20.00, but well worth it! You can watch on your mac or PC and or on your TV from your cable company, just have to call and order it. You also get all the other games that day on Gameplan as well.
Can’t wait!

Hey BurbankDawg and Jarick, try sling box, you just need someone (friend or family member) that’s getting the pay per view back here to set it up on their tv. That way you can get all the games, even if they are only regional to the Southeast. A buddy of mine just moved to Texas and we set it up for him this week.

Vols Rule, while it is on Gameplan, as EVERYONE has stated, it is blacked out in Georgia. I’m sure moore hater2 was speaking for those of us in the state of Georgia when he said it would only be on CSS.
As for all of you throwing out random sports bars that usually show the Dawgs, keep in mind that they have to have cable, and most have moved to Dish. That is the problem I am finding in Gwinnett Co. Everyone has Dish, no one has Cable, so no one has the game.
By epb
August 28, 2008 9:37 AM | Link to this
I have been told by several cable satelite companies that Comcast has some first right option and can block it from other cable/satelite companies. Dish and Direct both have told me they WILL NOT will not have it available. I have confirmed that Charter Cable (athens) does have it on their schedule and it will not be blacked out. It is thru ESPN Gameplan. You can order the one game for $25.00 or the season ppackage for $109.00

I checked espn gameplan and it is blacked out in GA. If you go to css.com they have a number of different station listings that will allow you to purchase the game via PPV.
By GATA
August 28, 2008 9:57 AM | Link to this
Vols Rule,
you really are an idiot and obviously have no experience with this situation from years past. We, (speaking of Bob and MooreHater) have been through this before, so if you have some inside info please enlighten us, if not stop being ignorant and please travel back to your ‘BURNT ORANGE’ website. If I post something on this website, obviously I know what I am talking about.
EPB, the reason you are able to get it through charter is because comcast and charter are partners, therefore since you do business with them, you have the option to buy the game. In S. GA (and I’m sure other parts of GA), CSS is not offered, therefore we have no way to get the game on PPV, even if we have ESPN gameplan (trust me, I have learned this the hard way a few years back)
My question is this, does anyone think the game (ESPN gameplan) will be blacked out in FL?? CSS website is below

I’ll be watching on DirecTV - ESPN Gameplan, in Granger, IN. Our neighbors are learning how serious Bulldog’s take their football. During the fall months, they have learned to ask us if Georgia is playing - before making any attempt to get together. All party plans take a back seat to Georgia games. And no…they aren’t invited. My wife and I cheer and jump around like nuts, and I don’t need the distraction of playing host to ‘non-believers’.

The last 2 times CSS had a UGA pay per view game, the feed was somehow not able to be sent to Cobb County - the county with perhaps the most UGA alums and fans. There was no fair warning or explanation and a refund was issued - IT WAS AWFUL!!! My guess is that the number of orders placed somehow overran the crappy system’s ability to actually let us VIEW. If you go to the ESPN webpage and check, the game is blacked out on ESPN Gameday for the entire state. You will have to pay for it on CSS pay-per-view which is only available on Comcast, of course.

If you are like me and have to work on Saturdays it is good to know that CSS will run replays of all the Dawgs games on Monday at noon and 9pm every week. It’s not as good as seeing it in person or live on TV but it is better than missing seeing the action entirely.

for any fans in SO CAL, the best place to watch the game is at O’HARA’s (used to be called maloney’s) in WESTWOOD by UCLA. there is a ton of GEORGIA fans, and the bar clears out the entire downstairs just for georgia peeps! it’s a lot of young alumni and so much fun! I just called the bar, and they will be playing the pay-per-view game, UGA vs. GA SOUTHERN and the bar opens at 8:45 AM for the 9:30 AM kickoff! gooooooo dawgs!

I just talked to Direct TV and they stated that they would have it on espn gameplan even in Georgia. I ordered it for the one day at a price of 21.95. I may have just lost some cash, but I can watch some of the other games if they dont show it and I will call to talk to a supervisor.

I got direct tv because I was told I would never miss a game. After the guy wired my whole house he pointed out the little asterick next to local channels. I haven’t been able to watch the dawgs at home since. I talked to somebody who said I could order today’s game. I did, but I will believe it if I see it at 12:30. My advice to anyone is don’t order Direct TV. The service is great, really. They just don’t deliver the channels that they promise. Unfortunately, our local cable provider is just God awful.

21.95 plus a $5 hook up fee and the foreign correspondent / customer service emplyee told me I would get it (but he wasn’t sure). Oh well, I would spend more than that at the local sports bar.

No, Direct TV has the UGA/GSU game is blacked out in the entire state of Georgia, because Comcast is producing the game and is offering it and the Central Michgan vs UGA games as PPV on their tiny little viewing area.
You know it’s bad when people can’t go to a sports bar to watch the game because the MAJORITY of them CAN’T GET THE GAME!!
THANKS FOR SHAFTING THE BULLDOG NATION!!!!!!

I was told that if you call a direct tv rep (not the automated system) you can order individual games (although they will push Gameday). We will see how it works out.

YOU CANNOT GET THE GAME ON ESPN GAMEPLAN IF YOU LIVE IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA!!!!!!!! They have it BLACKED OUT, thanks to Comcast!
There are only a FEW places in the area that will have the game, and those are ones that have CABLE.
Comcast is producing the game, so they’ve made Direct TV, Dish Network, even ESPN 360 to black the game out in GA.
BS BS BS BS BS BS BS!! How RIDICULOUS is it that the majority of the Bulldog Nation can’t see the Dogs when we’re going into the Season #1!?!?!?! The game’s SOLD OUT!! WTF!!!

I called to get the ESPN gameday for today only, was told that the UGA/GSU game was NOT on their blackout list for Georgia, they charged me the $21.95 and when we couldn’t access it she dug a little deeper into the system found it on the most recent blackout list. Said it was added because the game didn’t sell out - which I don’t really believe. Anyone who has added this package for this specific game, call for a credit! They immediately credited my account. Gotta say, this really sucks.
