Doldrums at the Georgia Dome?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
We all knew things would be different down at the Georgia Dome once Michael Vick’s career began imploding.
But does the home of the Falcons truly offer one of the worst game-day experiences in the entire NFL?
It does, according to a survey of 17,000 respondents by SI.com.
The survey evaluated game-day experiences based on everything from ticket prices and availability, to concessions and tailgating, the team’s performance and the stadium’s location.
Based on those criteria, the Georgia Dome ranked a lowly 29th out of 32 stadiums. Only the 49ers’ Monster Park, the Vikings’ HHH Metrodome and the Jets’ Giants Stadium fared worst, respectively (the Giants’ game-day experience at Giants Stadium rated higher than the Jets’).
The Packers’ Lambeau Field emerged as top-rated, followed closely by the Steelers’ Heinz Field.
On a scale of 1-to-10, SI.com rates the Georgia Dome a 4.
Falcons fans: Are things really that depressing down at the Dome? Is so, what improvements would you suggest?
