Are Falcons due for a win?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
After a deflating 0-2 start, the Falcons play their first home game of the season this afternoon against the Panthers.
It’s a late (4:15 p.m.) start, giving Falcons fans more time to think about how their team can turn around its early season misfortunes.
What do you think about the moves the Falcons made this week and the overall state of the team? If you’re heading to the Dome, what’s your level of excitement? If you’re watching on television, how long will you tune in?
Is it too late to recover from a poor start, or does this team have something it hasn’t shown that may trigger a better season?

THE FALCONS SUCK PERIOD! OUR OFFENSIVE LINE IS WEAK, HARRINGTON IS NOT A GOOD FIT, LEFTWICH WASN’T GOOD IN THE JAGUARS PRESEASON SO THATS A BAD MOVE. VICK IS TRULY MISS, HE BLEW IT, BUT THIS TEAM HAS TO SUFFER FOR HIS STUPIDITY. JUST MAYBE IN LA LA LAND THINGS WILL GET BETTER. OTHERWISE WE ARE 0-16 THIS SEASON PERIOD! GET WELL DJ QUICK! ):

Alan Rossum just ran a kickoff back for the Steelers. Guess he wasn’t good enough to play for these losers. Case closed.

I’m not sure I should waste time writing a comment that’s NOT POSTED!
I DID THAT YESTERDAY EVENING!!
Yesterday’s Falcons blog showed no mention that posting had stopped with a 7:20 PM post. I WASTED A FULL HOUR, FOR NOTHING!!!!
Please show JUST A LITTLE consideration for your readers! I know you don’t give a damn, but you could, at least, ACT LIKE you do!!!

I have not given up complete hope yet. I agree that Leftwich was not a good acquisition. I think it showed how much panic there is in the front office. I would much rather have tried to get a Brunnel (or a Schuab). Still, I believe we’ll win a couple or three games this year, despite a pathetic OL.

The Falcons are a hot mess! I don’t care who they get to play for QB, they WILL NOT WIN WITHOUT THE REAL #7 MICHAEL VICK! Anyone else, is simply an imposter. They need to get rid of RICH MCKAY and anybody else who has traded anyone of great significance for this time. You get rid of Rossum, he just ran a kickoff return for Steelers, bye-bye Kerney, cut the kicker, what in the world is going on? This team sucks all around. Then you have DHALL talking smack like he hasn’t got burnt the whole pre-season and the last two games. Although it was a shame what Mike Vick did, but forgiveness is a powerful thing and this game (all around) is suffering because he is not playing!

I picked against the Falcons in the first two games and I have NEVER picked against the home team. Today I think they have a chance. If they don’t win against a team with almost as many problems as us, it won’t look good for the next 5 or 6 games. Go Falcons?

Who cares wheather they win or lose…all that matters is that low life Thug Vick is going to jail for being a murderer and is losing millions and millions of dollars. Hell yeah!!!That alone is worth the Falcons losing every game for the next few uears!!!

falcondawg!! Byron is a heck of an upgrade over the crybaby “lil joey”!! And,Schaub is all hype till the defenses see more of him..His game is the same, drop back and get rid of it on short passes, thats it..He has no long arm,and he is a sitting duck back there in the pocket..
Harrington should be shouldering most of the blame for this team..So what the O-line sucks,it sucked when Vick was back there..So what the recievers suck, they sucked when Vick was here..
You all let your boys slide and blame everyone else when you know that they stink, ala,Brooking,Joey,Kerney etc….
Lets be realistic, and stop blaming everything on MV..He is not here, and this is what u guys wanted all along..
A pocket passer..I hope MV never comes back here to play for the falcons, and he wins a super bowl for a team and a city that deserves it.. Because all of u necks deserve what u want..A slow good ole boy in the pocket, and to make mad passionate love to your sister..

I believe the organization, from top to bottom, is in such pathetic dis-array, that they will not have a chance this week. Lets face it --the Birds are not a good team, and wont be this year.

Forget D.J., Forget Vick, forget Rossum, forget all your gripes because none can and will make a difference to the Falcons. As a matter of fact I personally don’t think D.J. was all that great. Vick was another story but he chose to screw up and now can’t play maybe for ever. Rossum, well one good return doesn’t make a season and if credit is given he probably had several good blocks made for him. Now to the falcons-they need to put in a full effort on every play. If they do then I hardly doubt they will be 0-16. I might consider 5-11 or 6-10 for this year.

Sure they can win, they can win without Vick, they weren’t winning with him. It’s up to the Falcons if they want to win or not. They have the talent, not so sure if the have the guts or the heart. Things happen all the time and people rise to the occassion. Falcons win today. Goodell is just what this league needs. Bring the broom, bring the mop. I wanna be entertained I work too hard and too many hours to watch a bunch of millionare lunkheads acting as though they are above the rest of the working class.

If I see one more person post that the Falcons should, could or would take Mark Brunnel, I’m going to puke. If you know anything about football, you would know he is more washed up than sand on a beach. This isn’t about bashing Brunnel but put the scouts to work and find a diamond in the rough from the now defunct world league or an Arena league team if now one else is available. If Dallas can find a Tony Romo and Cleveland can find a Derek Anderson, you gotta think there’s somebody else out there capable of playing in Petrino’s offense….geez what about one of his former QB’s??

Falcon fan here. The thing to hope for is that we suffer no more injuries, we get a good draft pick spot, and that next season, the fair weather fans have gone away. The QB makes the throw & adjust when the play goes wrong, the offensive line is suppose to protect him to make plays, the defense needs to keep the opposing team from scoring and special teams run for good starting position, kick the field goals & extra points. Note I didn’t use any names, because in football no matter who plays, the game plan remains the same.

This year, losses don’t bother me.
I look at every loss as the price for putting Michael Vick in a cage where he belongs. Any disappointment at a Falcons loss is more than offset by knowing this useless piece of sub-human garbage will languish in prison. We lose every game; SO WHAT!!?? Knowing this animal will be put into a cage makes every loss worth while…. I LOVE IT!!!

This is Mick Vick’s team and no one will perform better than him, so Harrington can hang it up. Dunn is washed up and the offensive line is full of holes. They should expect to have a pitiful season. Than those damn Peta people for all their drama keeping Vick off the field. They should be proud. Dumb Asses.

To TRUTH HURTS, This is supposed to be a football blog. If you don’t care if the Falcons win or lose why are you on it. Vick participated in the killing of dogs. Only humans can be murdered. Falcons were an ok team with Vick, they are horrible without him. This team needs a lot of work with or without Vick. The reason for 2 back to back .500 seasons is so clear. Vick was the only one on the team who played with heart. So what he wasn’t a so called leader. The team is full of them now and they are 0-2 and sinking fast.

To TruthHurts: Response to claim made by TruthHurts that MV7 ‘murdered’ dogs. POINT 1: Animal worship is a cult that appears in many ancient (nature) religions. In these cults animals are regarded as representatives or appearances of the deity, or are attributed divine characteristics. It is partly based on the fact that animals possess qualities that humans lack or have in lesser measures, such as strength or speed, and which inspire fear.
POINT 2: Murder is the illegal killing of one human being by another. Murder is generally distinguished from other forms of homicide by the elements of malice aforethought and the lack of justification. All jurisdictions, ancient and modern, consider it a most serious crime and impose a severe penalty for its commission.
POINT 3: In law, defamation is the communication of a statement that makes a false claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may harm the reputation of an individual, business, product, group, government or nation. Most jurisdictions allow legal actions, civil and/or criminal, to deter various kinds of defamation and retaliate against criticism. The common law origins of defamation lie in the torts of slander (harmful statement in a transitory form, especially speech) and libel (harmful statement in a fixed medium, especially writing but also a picture, sign, or electronic broadcast), each of which gives a common law right of action. **Excerpts provided by Wikipedia

Hello,
It takes a team to win. Each player must do their part. Dropping passes, not blocking, making poor decisions, are what this team is now. Till they change that, it will be a long year.

The offense is playing well. If not for allowing the Panthers to blow down the field unmolested for their touchdown, you’d have to say _ if you were honest and not drunk like the posters are here today _ the Falcons are playing really well.
The wideouts are catching balls and Harrington has 252 yards and a TD at halftime. What else could you ask for _ if you were honest and not high on crack like most of the posters on here.

It’s tied at halftime. Harrington is looking good and our wide receivers are catching balls. Norwood looks good returning kicks and catching passes.
The defense has looked spotty, but overall they are so far playing a pretty good game.
To ready the posts on here you would think the Falcons were behind 2,234 to 0 and also murdering babies on the sidelines. God what a bunch of know nothing, butt munching phartheads. I hate all you ba$tards.

The Falcons should win if nothing else than due to a struggling Panthers team. The Falcons look better than last week, which is good news. Remarkably, Harrington looks better. Apparently someone reminded Harrington that Lefty-wich has now entered the building, waiting patiently for him to screw up.

Falcons 1st win won’t be until december
they suck and need to stop trying to win (it’s pathetic), play for number 1 draft pick instead that’s the only realistic goal they are capable of achieving
