Do you agree that sending text messages to recruits is something that should be banned?

as an athlete that just finished the recruiting process i always thought it was kind of cool when a coach texted me good luck on a friday. however from what i hear the whole thing is getting out of hand and they need to fix it somehow whether it being banning it or limiting it.
