Trying to snag an SEC tourney ticket?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Hope to go to the SEC tournament being held at the Georgia Dome through Sunday?
Alas, the Dome, configured for 26,000, is sold out.
However, fans of eliminated teams typically try to sell their remaining tickets outside venue in downtown Atlanta. And that can create a buyers market for fans of teams still alive in the tourney.
Face value of tickets: $45 for two-game sessions Thursday-Saturday and $35 for the championship.
How much would you be willing to pay to get in for the games being played through Saturday? How about for Sunday’s big game?
And, if you’ve had some previous experience in such matters, what tips can you give a newbie on how to snag a ticket — safely and without paying through the nose?

If Kentucky loses to Bama today, you’ll probably find some Kentucky fans that will pretty much give their tickets away. You should expect to find them outside the dome for about $15-$20 per session.

You guys should not worry about obtaining tickets from Tennesse fans. I feel they will be playing into the weekend.
You boys will have to take matters into your hands. Pun Intended.

Thank GOD for the my NHL center ice package.
I may be in the minority but I certainly appreciate having the option to “opt out” of all this force fed basketball coverage.

If you don’t care about where you sit, you can find a ticket easy for $10 a pop. If you want better seats, make sure you get to the dome at least 90 minutes before the first session begins. If you’re patient, you should find tickets for $20-$30 each. If you’re impatient, pay face value and walk right in.

If Kentucky loses prior to the final, you’ll be able to buy championship game tix for less than $10. Been that way since I can remember. I had two premium tix three years ago for the whole weekend & couldn’t sell them because everyone wanted to sell theirs also.

We need to fix our problems with Tennessee and at least split with them. Losing twice for three straight years is an embarrassment.
