Dogs win Chick-fil-A Bowl
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Georgia looked as good in the second half as it looked bad in the first half in scoring 28 unanswered points Saturday to defeat Virginia Tech 31-24 in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
The Bulldogs defense rose to the occasion with four turnovers as the team erased a 21-3 deficit.
What are your thoughts on the game and a roller coaster season? What do you expect for the 2007 season? What must UGA do to become a contender for the SEC championship and beyond?

Well, first off, the obvious. The ACC is not very good. We are the supposed #5 SEC team and took care of yech and what is called the best ACC team in VT. Secondly….so sorry for everyone else, hope you enjoyed our “down” year.

This was to be a 3-4 loss season given the changes…What an end to the season and the future looks bright. (hard to win without an O line and the JUCO coming in will help) This was huge…it helps get us ranked begining next yr. CJ looked awesome..probably leaves based on this game…The OC made good calls….THe best Defense in the country???? Stafford is ready to become one of the best in the country and with what we have redshirted and the incoming linemen> UGA will be in the top 5 for the next few yrs…if we execute

congrats, CMR. i was very vocal earlier in the season against you but you have put egg on my face. thank you for putting that egg on my face. you and your team have shown resilience and character. i am very proud to be a dawgs fan and to have you as our coach. imagine if we had not lost to tucky and vandy, we would be 11-2 right now in a down year with a freshman QB. amazing. kind of the opposite of the falcons, huh? when things go to hell, and they lose to tucky and vandy (detroit & cleveland) CMR responds by having his team beat ranked Auburn, Ga. Tech, and Va. Tech whereas Mora has his teams go 2-6 down the stretch two years in a row. Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! SEC champs in 2007! National champs in 2008! Stafford for Heisman in 2008! More playmakers emerge on offense, and next year could be special. But we need someone on offense to make plays next season. I am very proud of the perseverance after falling behind. The 2nd half tonight was awesome. I think one of the best moves CMR as made since he has been at UGA is getting Mike Bobo in a OC. I think Mike can turn the O up a couple of notches and use some of the Donnan playbook which was good. Go dawgs and Tech Go to HL!!!

I thought there were way too many personal fouls on both sides. It could have cost UGA the game. I thought VT played great the 1st half, and UGA played great the 2nd half. The 1st half was powered by VT’s defense, and the 2nd half was powered by UGA’s offense and defense. We were lucky that none of UGA’s kicks were blocked. I was glad to see Coutu back.
That onside kick changed everything. Coach Richt said that was Coach Fabris’ doing.
I was surprised at the number of offensive linemen wearing knee braces — that really scared me.
I think UGA will have a much better team next year but UT and Florida will have good recruiting as well. Right now the SEC is 4-1 in bowl games, with the sole loss a last minute deal for Alabama. The SEC will be a meatgrinder again next year.
My highlights of the year: Stafford has lots of experience, we should have depth on OL for next year, and Bobo appears to be making good calls.
My question: Willie Martinez — I don’t know enough to evaluate him.
Go Dawgs

Okay, first off Go Dawgs!!!! I know we have had a lot of success in these past few years, but I have to say with the way this team pulled them selves together in the end I feel like they done more to make Georgia a consistently better team. Yes we had a down year but they never gave up.

Are any Falcons fans out there surprised the the Jokies had FOUR personal foul penalties against them?
Looks like MeAngelo Hall taught his fellow Jokie Delinquents well.
Wow, the Jokies have the best defense in the country? Yeah, Ole Miss or Missy St. would have the same if they could play in such a Clown Conference like the ACC.
The SEC is superior. In every way, compared to any other conference, from top to bottom. If Alabama didn’t do what Alabama does, and choke, then we’d be undefeated in the bowls so far.
The Big (1)2 has exactly two good teams, Texas and Okie. The Big 11 actually has three decent teams. The Pac 1 plus 9, well, we know they have ONE good team. The Big Least, they have three teams that didn’t want to win the conference this year, and did everything they could (like losing to Cincinatti and South Florida) to give it away.
The SEC has 9 freaking teams in bowls this year. NINE!!! The Dawgs, in a down year, beat what the moron Mark may says was the best team in the ACC this year. Kentucky takes it to Clemson. Darth Visor wins a game with no defense (big surprise). And now Tennessee, Auburn, Arkansas, and LSU are about to plow through their games.
Too bad the Urban Myth is going to be beaten like a drum. But as much as I love the SEC, I refuse to root for Florida. Nothing would make me happier for Ohio St. to really give Urban Myth something to cry about.
So the SEC finishes 7-2 in the bowls, although, if it weren’t for crappy ‘Bammer, we’d be 8-1.
Best football in the land is played in the heart of Dixie, boys.
And oh yeah, Mike Bobo has freaking ARRIVED!!!

I forgot one of my main points: UGA won because we wore VT down. The VT players were coming out of the game injured because UGA was hitting them so hard.

Gotta say that the job Coach Richt did this year was amazing. I too had my doubts earlier this season but holding these boys together like he’s done…incredible. Great job handing over the reins to Bobo as well. Loved that play to Lumpkin on the goal line! Now if we could just cut down on the smack talking during the game, things would be perfect. Seems like the Chick fil a bowl needs to pay more for the SEC 5th place team. It is obviously worth more than the 2nd place ACC team. Next year we should have them send the 1st place team. Then we can work our way down to see what place SEC team should play their best. Maybe 7th or 8th?

One thing about a Richt team, they never ever quit!Think of the number of games the dawgs have been out of in the fourth quarter,it is a very small number. This was as gutsy a come back as I’ve seen considering the defense V.T. has. Bobo called a very smart, imaginative and brave second half, I’m thinking we have ourselves an O.C. The defense was great,Taylor was the right choice as team mvp and lets’ hope Johnson comes back next season I think he’ll be a star on sundays. What a deference three games has made,I looking forward to next year already.

Great win for all Dawgs everywhere!
This was especially sweet for me as I live in Northeastern NC and there are lots of Hokies everywhere up here.
I felt we were fortunate on the personal foul call against Eddie Royal, when jawing with Battle.
I’d love to see the Dawgs players show a little more poise on the field after plays and not trash talk and push so much. We could have picked up more personal fouls tonight. As good as our coaches are, I would like to see this addressed.
I hope the players keep their heads tonight after the game and we can avoid any more incidents or suspensions to start next year.
I am so proud of these guys for hanging in and finishing this year like this.
I forgot just how money Coutu is.
Bobo had shotgun splitbacks with Lumkin and Ware in together once, loved seeing the ol’ I and power I back in action.
Loved the counter play to Lump,
Catching practice all winter, spring and summer, please.
Great job offensive line, beleagered warriors
Great Job Defense.
Great Job CWM.
Can we find a new long snapper for punts or practice our guy up please?

Okay, let me be honest and say that after that second quarter interception by Stafford, my first thought was…”here we go again.” And with the long punt return and then the long half-back pass that led to VT scores, I was quickly sinking into h@!!
But then, something miraculous happened…the second half! In that half, my upside down world turned right again and the DAWGS we all know and love came out to play. Suddenly, I began to hear a soulful voice from Augusta sing quietly at first, and then with more force and more volume…”Dooley’s Junkyard Dawgs…Dooley’s Junkyard Dawgs.”
In addition to thanking Coach Richt, Coach Bobo and Coach Martinez, I’d like to show some love for the Godfather of Soul. He was truly our angel tonight. Rest in peace, James Brown.

It all came together in the second half of this game. Play calling on both sides of the ball for Georgia was almost perfect. Imagine how this game and the rest would have been this year minus just half of the dropped passes. Another 7 tonight not counting the bomb off of Kenneth Harris’ hands. That was a tough one. Not next season but the season after I think they will have a good shot at the National Title.
Charles Johnson is absolutely out of control and almost unstopable tonight. Mr. Evans almost impressive.
Now we just need to Basketball team to cap the New Years weekend off with a win of Wisconsin tomorrow. Go Dawgs!

The U. of Georgia could make history and simultaneously rid itself of its backwoods craphole academic and athletic reputation if it fired Mark Richt and hired a heifer. Imagine it. No woman has ever coached a football team, but why??? I’ll tell you why! Sexism, pure and simple! Does the coach actually play? No I don’t think so. There is no good reason why a woman shouldn’t be a coach. Most women can’t play (though a few large lesbians may be able to play well). This is a simple fact of life. On average, women are less strong physically than men. However, coaching has NOTHING to do with playing because the COACH DOESN’T PLAY! So, is UGA up for it? Is UGA a groundbreaking university of just the pathetic backwoods crapper like everyone says?

Now for the luvvagod, would you dawg fans PLEASE stop lumping the wildcat loss in with losing to vandy, which is its own special screwup and at your homecoming no less, it deserves its own place in the UGA Hall of Shame.
Yes, we are perennial cellar dwellars but you have to admit were the ‘cats playing in the ACC all these years we’d have much more success on the gridiron.
Now, yes we had some embarrasingly close calls this year against 1-AA teams but, bottom line, this group had a comeback win vs UGA, OUTPLAYED and should have beaten the hated vols (nothing sucks like the big orange) and took out former #10 Clemson with not one, not two, but four all-SEC first and second teamers on offense.
Hey, there’s something like five kids on our team from lagrange alone.
So, no more vandy lumping, thank you!!!
By YEEEHAWW! Dem DAWGS Is MEDIOCRE (on a GOOD day)
December 31, 2006 01:08 AM | Link to this
It’s so nice to see the UGAy fans jumping up and down with the conclusion of a MEDIOCRE football season! A BLOWOUT of 51 pts by TENN at The Hedges…Losses to Vandy and KY…It EASILY could’ve been a 6 or 7 loss season, like next year WILL be.
The “5th Team from the SEC” is MANHANDLED for 30 minutes, then everyone changes the channel at halftime…So they miss that VT failed to show up for the 2nd half. All the country gets to see is the MISERABLE Dawgs show up for the 1st half - This is just TOO FUNNY!!
So it’s Great To Be A Dawg, HUH? What everyone else sees is that Mark Richt has brought Mediocrity to UGAy Athletics, to go along with the Mediocrity in UGAy Academics! A conference record of 4-4 is quite simply AVERAGE and NOT COMPETITIVE IN THE SEC, even though President Adams has unequivocally prioritized Athletics OVER Academics at a Georgia institution of (supposedly) Higher Learning — HOW EMBARRASSING FOR THE STATE OF GA!!
In fact, Mora will be FIRED for having a .500 (or less) season…But a .500 record in the SEC now has UGAy fans jumping up and down with JOY. “It’s a Mediocre Life!”
Great to be a Dawg? Not quite…More like SUCKS TO BE A DAWG…Unless you relish the feeling of being known as MEDIOCRE in the World of College Academics and Athletics! And if that’s the case, then you’ve found your home…

Methinks that you’re little jealous deep down on the inside.
I also think you’re a closeted homosexual. Son, like Seinfeld said, not that there’s anything wrong with that. So why don’t you come out of the closet to all of your D&D friends?
Then you can learn that taking it from an 8th level troll isn’t all that bad.
And you’ll have found a new use for your replica lightsaber, I’m sure.

What a great finish! next season holds promise and questions. With Stafford and what should be a deep group of recievers and running backs, the concern on offense is the line. That concern is less worrisome with a very strong class coming in to join other promising young players. On defense it will be the first season in a while that we may not have a returning proven play maker(if Johnson doesn’t return) still I like the mix and I’m looking forward to next season. Can someone print something positive about UGA now. Richt is 10-0 versus the upper tier of the ACC (6 against Ga. Tech, 2 against Clemson, 1 against FSU, and now 1 against Va. Tech)? Why can this not get a mention in someone’s column?

The comments from that Tech F* above make me laugh …. First, Tech can not even hold Georgia’s jock strap. Never have, Never will. Second, winning anything in the ACC might as well be on a high school level. Overall, the ACC stinks and the number 6 team from the SEC just beat the number one team from the ACC. Kentucky over Clemson, Georgia over Virgina Tech, the list will continue anytime the SEC is matched up against the ACC. Always has and some things just never change. The Tech seniors should just get ready for their careers serving chili dogs at the Varsity. Would you like fries with that chili dog, Massa ???

Chick Fil a did a nice job, Herschel was great (how bout that prayer), Bobo was very good, Charles Johnson, Tony T and the D were better than great, Stafford and our O line really laid it all out in the second half…it was the best I could of hoped for last night. Thanks to all the seniors. Go Dawgs, and Happy New Year!

You just can’t get over it, can you? I bet you were jumping for joy in the first half and jumping out the window in the second. I can’t wait until WV kicks the living crap out of you.
GO DAWGS

This is one of my favorite Dawg teams of all time. So much adversity, but in the end, more character.
LOVE THIS TEAM.

I LOVE IT! “So much ADVERSITY” this year? “It was a REBUILDING YEAR…”
The SAD TRUTH is: Poor Coaching, Inferior Athletes and Failure To Execute! UGAy CREATED it’s own ADVERSITY this season, and it WILL CONTINUE because the SAME PIECES OF THE PUZZLE are still in place!
Having a 2-3 Starting QB Controvery AFTER the season has started is a BASIC COACHING FAILURE…Pure and Simple! Most of the same coaches will return next year, so expect nothing different.
There are 2, maybe 3 outstanding athletes on UGAy…Those are headed for the NFL. The returning AVERAGE starters are responsible for the EXECUTION FAILURES seen this year.
Get ready for a replay next year…A half-dozen DROPPED PASSES each game…A conservative DEFENSE that gets lit up by Talented Passing QBs and Receivers (see TENN) and run over by athletic QBs (see Vandy). A Peak-and-Valley QB who’ll throw 3 TDs in one game and 3 INTs in the next…
Oh…But it’s a “rebuilding year”. I’m surprised UGAy Fans would EMBRACE MEDIOCRITY and excuse away coaching failures and poor execution on the field because it’s a rebuilding year.
What will you say NEXT YEAR when UGAy is 0-2 by Sept 9th…And 3-5 by November? Will it also be a rebuilding year? One thing’s for sure: It’ll be another year filled with ADVERSITY!

Tech fans claiming Georgia is embracing mediocrity…that just made my night. Also, great win for the Bulldog nation tonight. This team overcame a midseason meltdown (UK doesn’t look so bad now. They’re 8-5) and put it all together at the end. I can’t wait for next year. Bobo called a very good game against the number one defense in the country and the D was absolutely suffocating.

To all the UGA haters like YEEEHAWW. Don’t forget that ok VT did win a half it wasn’t like they dominated a first half instead of the score being 21-3 going to the second quarter it should have been 14-10 if not for one dropped pass. So going from the first HALF that VT won GEORGIA won the second half just like GEORGIA scored 3 first half VT scored 3 in the second. The difference is UGA did it when it counted. Why don’t you just go away and do something like throw an interception on first and goal at the Georgia 8 or down the ball on 3rd down then throw it out of bounds on 4th. Even though our QB did throw interceptions this year he was a true freshmen what was REGGIES excuse and atleast our wide receivers had the ball thrown in bounds so they’d have a CAHNCE TO Catch it. That’s why ya’ll lose Calvin to the draft he is tired of playing with geeks. Every Tech fan on here always goes to grades after they lose to UGA. Forget grades. Thats what REGGIE, Kenny Scott and some other tissue wipe did at the end of the year. Football is football and UGA made the grades to stay on the field. They won’t have to worry about test when most of them play in the NFL. Can’t say that for TECH. You guys are so horrible I refuse to give you the Georgia in front of your name. You’re an embaressment to the name Georgia and with Georgia in front of your name Tech thats the closest you’ll ever be to being good.

Congratulations to your team, Bulldawg fans. That was a heck of a way to finish a season that had some rough spots. Character is forged in the difficult moments, not the easy ones. The returning members of the ‘06 Dawgs have played through some difficult and disappointing moments this season, and should form a much improved and more consistent team in 2007 for having survived the ‘06 experience.
The UGA players and coaches bounced back with three solid wins over ranked teams to redeem their season, including two “top-tier” ACC teams. Well done.
Enjoy the win, Dawgs. Now, start getting ready for Jacksonville. : ]

Congrats to Georgia, but Kendal this was not the ACC’s best team. I dont’t remember VA Tech playing for the conference championship

Hmmmmm … the verdict is now in:
Georgia 31, Virginia Tech 24
Kentucky 28, Clemson 20
Georgia 15, Georgia Tech 12
Florida 21, Florida State 14
South Carolina 31, Clemson 28
Vanderbilt 45, Duke 28
Alabama 30, Duke 14
In fairness to the ACC, I must concede that the ACC’s number 1 team (Wake Forest) did manage to beat the SEC’s number 10 team (Ole Miss), 27-3. Let’s see … SEC 7 wins, 1 loss in 8 head-to-head SEC vs. ACC games (including 3 in-state rivalry games and 2 bowl games).
Now, where is that amusing little fellow who wants to discuss UGA, Tech, and SEC vs. ACC football? If this guy had any sense of shame and humiliation, he would not show his face around these AJC blogsites for a season or two. But, alas, all of the those purported SAT points notwithstanding, this Tech fella has no sense of when his head has just been handed to him.

Hey Gator Guy, thanks for the kudos and all that, now get the hell off our blog. If you think a little suck up will change the way we think about the Gators you are mistaken.
I suppose you don’t get it. We HATE the Gators! We HATE your team! We HATE your fans, although you seem to be a reasonable fella.
So, yes, we appreciate you recognizing a great team and school in UGA. However, don’t think we feel the same about the Gators!
Go Dawgs! It’s a great day to be a Georgia Bulldog!

Go away Gator Gay! Thanks for the statistics and everything, but everyone already knows that the SEC is the best conference. Good luck in your bowl game but don’t taunt us with your little wink about Jacksonville next year. We’ll be there, ok? We’re not intimidated by your team or school so bye bye now as we enjoy our win!

Judge Dawg & The Truth——I try to withhold my baser rhetorical instincts in moments like this, but your ripostes are, well, somewhat less than gracious. Enjoy your win in your own fashion.
P.S. The AJCSportsblog is not “your” blog. Metro Atlanta is home to the largest number of UF alumni outside the state of Florida, and those same UF alumni constitute the second largest group of SEC alumni after UGA’s alums.

Well, the classless bulldogs were out again last night!Oliver and Battle joined Charles Johnson in showing just how classless the defensive players are at uga. Johnson you will recall grabbed Auburn’s Brandon Cox after an interception, drug him about five to seven yards and the threw him to the ground; not content with manhandling someone that he outweighed by 150 lbs. he then stood over him taunting him after the play; Oliver was beaten on VT’s first series and after the ball had gone out of bounds off the hands of the receiver, gave him a shove some ten yards further down field; Battle, after an interception, and after the bulldog defensive player was down turned around and hit VT receiver Royal in the head…after he had stopped and turned away from the play.Mark Richt, a man that I had highly respected whne hired at uga should have better control of his wayward players who are showing that they are no better than street thugs and cheap shot artist mascarading as football players!

Great job Dawgs…..I love you no matter what and always will.
Charles Johnson will be a stud in the NFL too !
Stafford will win us a National Championship before he is through !
What a call on the counter play at the goal line !

To Carter Strickland: Your article was inaccurate and incomplete. You said Stafford overthrew Harris in the 2nd quarter; it was dropped! (D1 receivers must make that catch) What about the other five or six passes dropped, three that were sure TDs? Include everything, or move to Lawn & Garden.

The Dawgs showed amazing heart in the 2nd half…it seemed like they wanted it more!!!
It’s amazing how stability at QB can impact the entire atmosphere of a team. By the Auburn game, once Stafford started to calm down & get used to the system, the whole team played w/ more intensity and focus.
The plays Bobo called in the 2nd half were masterful. Like another post mentioned, I’ve never seem an OC stand up in the booth…that was awesome! If Bobo can keep this up, UGA has a keeper.
Let’s not forget the D…WM called a masterful game also. Many fans, including myself, were critical of him after the Vandy/Kent games. However in his defense, remember he didn’t have this kind of offense to help him out either.
Let’s hope the Dawgs can keep this same level of intensity on both sides of the ball every game next season…if they do, the sky’s the limit!
GOOO DAWGS!!

We got started into the meat of the bowl stew Friday with some good ingredients. The previous games had us just spooning around the edges looking for something delicious. Bama’s effort without the head chef left an expected bad taste in the mouth of their patrons. Kentucky and South Carolina added some zing to the day’s soup. Soup Du jour for Saturday was excellent with chick-fil-a consomme the highlight of the menu. Monday’s offering looks intriguing with a base stock of gator and steak in a cotton seed broth garnished with rose petals and corn chips. Look for the real essence on Wednesday when the bayou boys have the irish over for jambalaya. BAM! What can we expect when alligators and buckeyes get tossed into the pot? Definitely sounds like fusion cuisine. After 9 SEC tastings in 10 days even the most discerning critic will no doubt leave the restaurant with a few memorable moments on their palates.

The simple fact that a lackluster team like Georgia is in a bowl game shows the sporting world what a joke bowl games are. What were they, 6-4 or something like that? It is merely an exhibition game designed to create revenue. GET A CLUE! You people who sit there and analyze the game like it matters, you crack me up. Hopefully next year, the dawgs will qualify for the “it’s a rainy Saturday afternoon what else are going to do with our lives bowl” and you can all get excited about that too! Better yet, call it for what it is, “the revenue bowl”.

I agree with most of the comments. Tech bagged what should have been a great year. So we want our 2nd rate coach fired. You guys want Rick to be voted governor after a shipwreck season. Have at it. I’m sure he’ll return because he’s sure not wanted by any other team. You can spend all winter playing with yourselves about ‘07. The SEC is the nations only all-pro conference. I cant wait to see Tech crash and burn……again….against WVU. Tech had its chance to shine in a very weak year of competition in the ACC and they couldnt even do that.
KY over Clemson, UGA over VT……Tech will always be the 2nd tier team in the state of GA. THe ACC is pathetic. The SEC is clearly the deepest conference in the country top to bottom.
07 looks very good for UGA. As for Tech, back to your roots…7-5.

ok good win but i want to understand something because i think some uga fans have no football knowledge. someone wrote stafford for heisman who the hell are yall watching this kid maybe the most overrated kid in college football kind of like a guy named gibson. next techs best year ever 9-5 go look at 1990 and three other years. Staffordn is not a smart qb we lost our or should i say your qb in ball and have two top notch qbs coming in to school and i promise their numbers wont finish up the year with 7td and 13 ints news flash thats worse than reggie balls freshman numbers. And another similarity reggie beat the ranked teams then lost to the sucky teams so did stafford. oh yeah for the guy who was talking about how uga basketball team was on its way up at 8 1 after sunday three l’s in a row without a sec game yet good luck and 2008 national title give me a break stafford wont lead this team to an sec title even

61 wins in 6 years
5th highest winning percentage of any active coach
3 Eastern Division titles
2 SEC Champioships
QB with the most wins in NCAA history
6 and 0 vs GT

Georgia should consider dropping the GT Wipes from their schedule and maybe starting a new in state rivalry with West Georgia. What game were you watching? Georgia’s one turnover was unforced, bad throw, while all of VT’s were forced by GA’s defense. Also we had 7 dropped passes of which 4 were sure TD’s. You’re hatred and jealousy are showing, so why don’t you just go back to the GT blog and stay off of GA’s.

What a joke the ACC is! I ask this question to all ym Florida State friends: “Why did the chicken cross the road…to join the ACC.” Bobby knew if he joined the SEC he wouldn’t have near the chance to run up his win record.
What about the big 10 +1….0-3 and over rated. I’m not crazy about the Gators but do you want a stinking over rated big 10 +1 team champs. When the bowls are on I’m an SEC fan….Go Dawgs ad the rest of ya.
Dawgs came out with fight and determination. Coaches were in to it too. Two of my favorite shots…Bobo standing up in the booth and Mark on the sideline helping the refs call another personal foul on the hokies. Two best calls were the onside kick and the Lumpkin mis-direction TD run. Two best plays were the long pass…Stafford did a great job selling the fake and hiding the ball and the heat seeking missle Johnson nailing their QB and the ball falling into Moses’ hands!
Great way to end the year Dawgs! Congratulations!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Dawg Fans are GIDDY and can’t see what EVERYONE ELSE SEES: UGAy EEEKED OUT Another W in a MISERABLE SEASON! It was a COMPLETE SEASON of Snafus and POOR EXECUTION…And the Dawg Fans are GIDDY!! lmao
Hats off to UGAy Football…It used to mean something when UGAy did something like win a Bowl Game. Now It’s Like: WHO CARES?
FACE IT: UGAy SPORTS HAS SUNK TO A NEW LOW! It doesn’t matter WHAT TECH DOES MONDAY…DAWG FANS are left to PONDER: Is this what we have to look forward to every football season now, a .500 TEAM in the SEC?
YES, IT IS…Enjoy your FATE, Dawg Fans! Even get GIDDY if you feel like it…And obviously you feel like it…The rest of the Sports World sees NOTHING TO CHEER!

Ignorant like all you techmites? Is that what you mean? Or stupid like the psuedo-intellectual losers that call themselves “Tech fans”? In our case SUCKS TO BE A DOG (UGA fans), our “ignorance” is certainly bliss. In your case (Tech fans) stupid is forever. Enjoy what ever it is that you morons call a football team. The rest of the country calls you a joke! How does it feel techies, to fold like cheap toilet paper every year. And WVU is going to start your year off in typical Tech style. Enjoy 2007 girls! Dude, you gott get some sleep, otherwise, you’re going to miss the Bugs get stomped by WVU.
You know what’s really funny?
Bug Football.
It’s a joke… get it?
All you have to say is Bug Football and people start laughing. Add in Reggie Ball and you have a laugh riot on your hands.
And if you mention Dungeons and Dragons, ugly girls you still can’t score with because they’re holding out for something better, Star Wars, Star Trek, and sitting at home playing with your slide rule, well, then…
That’s comedy gold!!!
It’s so easy, so very easy. Why do you make it so easy for us Bugs?
So you know, because your closeted @$$ has been bothering us going on 12 hours now, you just bought access for the Dawg Nation to jump on y’all board the second your 50-3 thumping at the hands of WVU goes final. You know that, right?

• Front page: With no Reggie Ball but also no Calvin Johnson, Georgia Tech opens its season at Notre Dame, losing 27-13, giving Chan Gailey four straight losses going back to last season. The loss reignites the “Can Chan” cries from Tech fans. But school officials say buying out Gailey’s previously extended contract would force them to cut costs in the Academic Oversight Department, which obviously was already operating with two part-timers and a hamster.

We’ll need to backfill our losses at DE & LB as well. We have the potential for another SEC title next year, but the chemistry & execution must be there. GO DAWGS!!!!

I’ll always wonder?
Florida never schedules a game the weekend before the Georgia game to get the added advantage of having fresh players to play every game up the road in Jacksonville, FLORIDA.
I wonder what the all time series record would be if Florida played the week before, Georgia didn’t, and the games had been always played just up the road in Atlanta GEORGIA?

Wow!! What a thing of beauty, huh??? What a great end to a ‘down’ year for us. For those of you who have seen the replay, or will, watch the end around fake that Stafford put on in the 4th quarter. First, sooooooo reminiscent of Greene, who was so good at pulling off the fake, but also if you watch, it should have been ruled a touchdown cuz when they tackled Milner, he rolled over the defender and never touched the ground until he was in the end zone. I know is’t past the point and we ended up scoring anyway, but that was one the refs(and coaches) missed and could have been big. Anyway, counting down until OSU in September and I can’t wait!!!! GatorGuy: Thanks for the compliment, but you need to be corrected on the number of SEC alumni in Atlanta.
Auburn very, very easily has the distinction of the 3rd highest number of alumni in the Atlanta area. Tennessee is next. Florida and Alabama generally are neck and neck next, but way lower than either Auburn of Tennessee. In fact there are more FSU and Clemson alums in Atlanta than UF also.

My appreciation to the DAWGS for helping me live in Va. I tip my hat to Lou Holtz for the prediction that DAWGS will win by out special teaming the Beamer ball bozo’s. Richt is the right coach at the right time. I am thinking he should try on Bear Bryant’s hat. I think it would fit perfectly!! He has certainly filled my expectations and then some. As to gators, remember that GEORGIA, DOGS, and DAWGS are spelled with capital letters for a reason.

Great comeback, Dawgs! One for the record books. Probably just enough to get Richt another chance to see if he can coach-up all those highly-touted recruits he’s been getting lately.
This year’s team will be known as underachievers, the coaching staff and the players.
The announcers said that Richt wants to spend some time with business CEO’s so he can hone his business management skills. We need a coach, not a CEO. I still say no national championship with Richt. Ever.

Great way to end an otherwise bad season. I like the way we adjusted at halftime. I am very impressed with the way Bobo completly turned around the offense in the second half. I really think that that is the main difference between him and CMR. I don’t believe CMR would have changed his mindset like that. He seems to want to always stick to a gameplan even if it doesn’t always work. We have a lot to look forward to next year with our recruiting class. I usually don’t put much faith in a recruiting class, but, I think that we have a lot of young players who will make a huge difference next year. Rashad Jones is going to be the next big thing at UGA. I also think that Walter Hill from down the road in East Hall will make more of a difference than people think. He is an absolutly incredible athelete. I have had the opportunity to watch him for the past 6 years in Hall County and he could quite possibly be the biggest sleeper in our recruiting class. Anyway, great game, and a great way to end the season!!! GO DAWGS!!!

CMR and team - excellent year, all things considered. You showed class in the face of adversity and demonstrated character as young men facing tough times. Whatever happened to the self-proclaimed “know it all” … GEECHY??
He lambasted everyone who suggested that Richt needed an offensive coordinator. Richt (finally) realized that a head coach has to manage the WHOLE game, making it very hard to do so while attempting to call an effective offensive game. Bobo will improve next season.
So “Geechy” or whatever you may be calling yourself now … I think you should post ONE HUNDRED times on this blog that you were wrong!

I’m not going to the Gator Bowl though I have tickets. My mom and dad left yesterday morning for Jacksonville but I came back over here to Atlanta today. I am frustrated because I don’t have the closet space for all this crap I got for Christmas. This dumb little condo at the Mayfair has small small small walk-in closets! I decided to throw out some of the other garbage I have in there and I now have it strewn all about the floor. Papers and textbooks and so on. The problem is that I don’t know which ones I may need and which ones I won’t. I wasn’t planning on going out tonight because I don’t want some stupid cop to try to give me a DUI. They will be out in force tonight undoubtedly since it is New Year’s Eve. I was just going to stay here and organize my closet. However, I think I am going to just throw all this stuff down the trash chute and go out utilizing the services of a taxi. I am going to throw out some clothes too even some which are new and I haven’t even worn yet. Cramping everything in the closet and letting it get wrinkled or lost in the mass of clothes is for the birds, I say.

Whoever this dude is that keeps posting the “mediocrity” garbage, he’s an idiot. But then, anyone who knows how to look at real data, and not just spout out unsubstantiated garbage, knows that. That’s why we’re not seeing a lot of true “Tech noise” on the Blog right now. Most true Techies know data when they see it, and the real data make them so sad that they can’t post effectively. It’s all psychological. The medical term for it is post-traumatic stress disorder. I believe it stems from four years of ReggieBall. How frustrating (and traumatic) that must have been!
In this guy’s case, though, it’s gone a step further. I think four years of Reggieball have melted his circuits, and fried his brain. PTSD has been overcome by insanity and lack of data correlation. He’s being illogical. Like most Techies, that flies in the face of his attempted emulation of his hero, Mr. Spock. We should all pity him. Perhaps a collection for psychiatric help could be taken up. He probably has no job (most insane people don’t) and, likewise, no health insurance.
(BTW, This guy’s too foolish to realize that if you’re fielding a team and starting a guy at QB who couldn’t beat out REGGIE BALL, you’re in trouble.)
It’s sad that he simply makes himself look stupid with his diatribe. Or crazy. Or both.
Send the collections to the Georgia Tech Perpetually Prepubescent Adult Male Fantasy Regeneration Center. They are developing some realistic virtual reality modules that show Tech actually beating Georgia. Of course, there are no remaining films of any of those games, as that sort of thing hasn’t happened in so long that none of the film clips of Tech winning are available in digital media.
(BTW, rumor has it that some of the virtual reality experiences have actual girls in them. Shhhh…don’t want any nerds injured in the stampede…)

Buck,
Yes Stafford was named MVP and for good reason. We continue to see the development of a fine QB with all the tools i.e. great and quick release, accurate, hides the ball well on fakes, cool under pressure, a true leader and he’s listening to the coaches. This team that we have showed a tremendous amount of heartand character, they could have folded but they didn’t. Martrez Milner redeemed himself and has probably earned himself a shot at the NFL. We have a very talented nucleus of players coming back next year and with all the talented recruits that were redshirted this year and all the talent we got coming in I think we can expect our Dawgs to be very competitive next year.
Go Dawgs

It is GREAT to be Georgia Bulldawg!!
This season was a great character builder for the team and it will pay dividends down the road, not only for the team as a whole but for each player after he leaves Georgia. As I posted after the Georgia Tech win, the players and coaches continued to believe that they could turn it around despite the naysayers. Other teams would have given up or self-destructed (case in point-the Atlanta Falcons). Sometimes the best lessons in life come from facing and overcoming adversity. The players will benefit from this experience long after their playing days are over.

The Georgia victory is what this blog started out about. Let’s keep our eyes on the ball people. If memory serves, and I believe it does, the last time UGA played a team from the Commenwealth at the Dome the script went very much the same as it did last night. Down at halftime, the Dawgs staged an impressive comeback to post a victory. I was very encouraged by the way Stafford got it together as well as the play calling of Bobo. This was not the season it could have or should have been. Losses to Kentucky and Vandy are a hard pill to swallow. But, a victory over ranked teams in your last three games is a heck of a way to end a season. Not too many teams can make that claim this year

What a game! As exciting a comeback as I can remember, although I can remember a great comeback in 1976 when the Dawgs came back from 17 points down to beat Florida in Jacksonville 41-27 that will always be the greatest Dawg comeback to me. I bring this comeback up as a tribute to The Godfather of Soul, and #1 Dawg Fan, James Brown, who appeared out of nowhere to extemporaneously perform “Dooley’s Junnkyard Dogs,” in the stands with the Redocat Band during the Dawgs comeback in the second half. As a Freshman drummer with the Redcoats-and huge James Brown fan-I never sat in the second half! I played with the Godfather and watched my Dogs kick Gator butt. Let me tell you, IT DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER!!!!
I’m happy with the Dogs comeback and thinking of Mr. James Brown with a big smile. He performed with us the next year at one really fantastic homecoming game against Kentucky (Prince Charles also attended), but I’ll forever remember that truly transcendent moment when he and the Dawgs lifted us out of our seats and endeared one young Georgia Bulldog fan and James Brown devotee forever to both.
Go Dogs!

Nobody else (other than disillusioned Dawg fans who think Mark Richt CRAPS GOLD while dishing out a 4-4 record in the SEC paved with LOSSES to Vandy & Kentucky) is posting here because NOBODY CARES about UGAy Football anymore…Which is now mearly a SHADOW of its former self!
What a bunch of morons who can’t face FACTS that are staring them square in the face…”Damn good QB?!?” Are you referring to the one who threw 6 TDs and 12 INTs? You see, that’s why UGAy is now a MEDIOCRE team. You worship a QB who throws twice as many INTs as he does TDs. He’s WORTHLESS and by next November when you’re 3-5 and wondering WHAT WENT WRONG THIS YEAR?, remember ME.
I TOLD YOU THE FACTS! UGAy has incompetent coaches who should take at least partial responsibility for screwing up your season by NOT SOLVING the QB CONTROVERSY BEFORE THE SEASON STARTED! POOR EXECUTION ON THE FIELD is just as much the fault of incompetent coaches as it is UGAy’s inferior athletes.
SEVEN DEFENSIVE STARTERS ARE NOW G-O-N-E! And you think THIS was a “Rebuilding Year”?
But ENOUGH FACTS…Here are my PREDICTIONS for next year. Print em out and read em next NOVEMBER while you’re drying your tears!
UGAy WILL LOSE TO TENN, Vandy and Florida in 3 CONSECUTIVE ROAD TRIPS next year Then the wheels will REALLY FALL OFF and the game with TROY will be a tossup.
Your “Awesome QB” WILL BE PULLED from the starting lineup after throwing 5 INTs in ONE GAME.
BOBO will prove to be a NO-GO as OC with an offense that produces less than 20 pts/game avg by November.
Men’s BB will go into a tailspin following CONSECUTIVE LOSSES to GT, Clemson and Wisconsin (all in “inferior conferences”)…Oh, wait a minute! That one’s ALREADY COMING TRUE NOW! LOL
UGAy continues to accept those who were REJECTED FROM and FLUNKED OUT OF Georgia Tech…
Dawg Fans FINALLY begin to recognize that Mark Richt has brought MEDIOCRITY TO UGAy FOOTBALL with a season of 7 LOSSES and NO BOWL APPEARANCE.
So, CELEBRATE YOUR UGAy ATHLETICS MEDIOCRITY…Since Dawg Fans are now viewed as LOSERS by Florida Fans, Vandy Fans, Kentucky Fans, Tennessee Fans, etc.
IT SUCKS TO BE YOU!…Dawg Fans who EMBRACE MEDIOCRITY!

We need Auburn to beat Nebraska. That, with the blowout loss by Texas A&M, will insure that UGA is ranked for the last entire decade as the only program to have accomplished this in the Final AP Poll.
The AP Poll still has the most credibility.
Now, if LSU can lose that would put both LSU and UGA at 61-17 in The Coach Richt Era and leave only Texas, Oklahoma and Southern Cal as better than Coach Richt then for 4th place in the nation in his tenure.
As for Ware, with his hands, he needs to come back and be 3rd string again.
As for Charles Johnson the last 2 plays by him last night might be enough to push him up to take millions.
As for Paul Oliver, he too would be a top NFL pick like Charles Johnson.
As for the typical AJ-C slant and bias that UGA who beat 3 ranked teams in the last 3 games is best then described as a “roller coaster season” all I can tell you is that (1) there are 3 programs maybe 4 in America who have done better than Coach Richt in his tenure, (2) UGA will be the only program ranked for the last entire decade in the Final AP Poll, and (3) UGA’s win is the most impressive win in the bowl season this year to put The SEC at 4-1 with **4 more to go.
It’s too bad that the AJ-C cannot be a little excited about these 3 items instead of trying to remind us that we lost to Vandie. The loss to Kentucky seems just fine now, doesn’t it AJ-C ?
Now, tell us again AJ-C how this is an ACC town ?

It’s a bad loss of that there is no doubt.
Coach Richt has had 5 bad losses in 6 years to-date as Head Coach.
He is also 8-2 against Ranked Opponents on the Opponents’ Fields.
And, 25-2 outside the conference.
And, could be tied with LSU at 61-17 in his tenure if LSU loses.
And, Vincent Joseph Dooley hired and brought UGA’s Football Program This Legacy that all of 2007, the nation will state that Only The University of Georgia Bulldogs have been Ranked in the Final AP Poll the last entire decade in a row consecutively and that the AP Poll is the most-respected Poll.
Georgia beat Number 20 or so Virginia Tech and Top 10 Auburn.
Georgia also beat Steve Spurrier and South Carolina again, who had a very good year and also got votes in the AP Poll.
So did Georgia Tech, whom Coach Richt has beaten all 6 times in a row.
So, the ledger is not bad and it is not a roller coaster year either. It has a bad loss - the worst in Coach Richt’s tenure but no where near the 11 bad losses that Tommy Tuberville has at Auburn.
Clearly winning 3 in a row that day ranked teams when we played them is not a roller coaster but a PROVEN WINNER now.
This is good.
Good luck trying to make it seem otherwise.

We have Wisconsin Arkansas today; Michigan Southern Cal, Nebraska Auburn; Penn St Tennessee; and Georgia Tech losing to West Virginia. Fun.
It would not have been fun today had we lost last night.
Thank you Matthew Stafford.
I am excited to see what Brian Mimbs can do now that we converted him from kicker to punter next season, as being Number 93 in the nation in punting is totally unacceptable for a senior punter, Gordon Ely-Kelso this season – never mind his blocked punts this season too.
I know that we redshirted too many of the linebackers this season and the one who did not play will be better than the linebacker corps we had this season.
I am totally aware that we wasted last year’s offensive line recruiting as well, all redshirted as not ready; but we have good ones back and we have great ones coming in, several of whom are proven veterans upon which we can rely to provide us with a Top 16 Offensive Line in giving up sacks again next season as we had in fact this season.
Willie Martinez’s Number 8 Total Defense saw a few players in this last game this season, such as CJ Byrd do well, and here too we have great players who have not played much either yet; but that does not mean that they are not ready this up-coming season to step in and do well. They will be.
Just as clearly, it was totally unacceptable to have the Number 90 Total Offense. We also were this last season now, the Number 82 Team in Passing Efficiency which is not acceptable with all those turnovers either. And, our fine True Frosh Quarterback had the Number 86 Passing Efficiency Rating in the nation clearly unacceptable while we sit here and ponder what Arthur Blank considers unacceptable.
Matthew Stafford was also The Number 87 player in Total Offense which is not what was advertised there either.
His fumble last night gave him 10 fumbles, 6 lost.
His 1 TD the last 4 consecutive games passing gave him 7 TD passes in 13 games playing 81 percent of the plays by all our QBs all season long and he played every single game and DID NOTHING.
So, as we look to the new season, our QB has to quit, cease and desist with fumbling 10 times a year, throwing 13 interceptions a year but only 7 TD passes.
The rest of it seems fixable with this club for next season.
I do believe if he does not have a Sophomore Slump like every one also does, that he will be served well by all these plays this season he played.
But, I would not say with yet his 10th fumble and yet his 13th interception last night, that that is behind him yet.
Would you ?

Thanks Big Dawg, after Gen. Neyland naming me as the “offensive Blogger of the Year”,(mythical of course) I need for my “O” projectives to happen. To me, in the 2nd half, Mike Bobo stood up and became his own man as an “OC”. The “O” switched from the old East/West attack to ther North/South offense. He turned Stafford loose, the rest of the team followed(except for the dropped passes) and we got an early sneak preview of the Dawg offense of the future. To me, it’s a very exciting thing to look forward to; BullDAWG, you’re right. Thanks for bring it up.

Do you really think that Matthew Stafford turned himself loose with 1 TD pass each of the last 4 consecutive games while throwing his 13th interception and yet still his 10th fumble last night ?

Or, is it that last night Willie Martinez’s Defense Number 8 in Total Defense in the NCAA, took the football away from VT’s Offense 4 times and the special teams twice handed the football to the offense on very short fields 6 times in total last night ?
See if you can truthfully answer that question ?

Our Offense is the Number 90 Total Offense in the nation and we are horrid at trying to give the game away with Matthew Stafford’s 10th fumble and Matthew Stafford’s 13th Interception last night while he completed 9 passes for 129 yards, an interception, and was 3 for 14 on 3rd down conversions.
I hardly think anyone thinks he or anyone else turned him loose last night with 1 TD pass.
And, by the time he threw that everyone in the nation had given up and gone to bed.

With memories of Kentucky and Vandy, I gave up at the half and went to bed. I have no regrets. Enough of dropped passes and missed blocks……….too many high fives and jumping jacks.

To begin with “The Man” is a jagoff. Now, I hate to be negative, but I have to say to all the dow-in-the-mouth fans that wanted to fire everybody mid-season, go sulk while we celebrate.
Once again, let’s get behing our team. No more booing and harrassing players. It really reflects poorly on the school and the fans.
Prediction: Florida’s going down three years in a row.

How Bout Them Dawgs, I have to say what a turn around! The Vanderbilt game still stings however the Kentucky loss may not have been as bad as it seemed since they took it to the mighty Klimpson Tigers of the ACC (Always Cupcakes and Creampuffs). I really relished that KY Win since I live with all these Clemson Idiots in Upstate SC. To all those techies who think 9-4 is mediocre, I will take that record any day considering it was a down year with a true freshman QB and all of the injuries we had. Now if them dawgs will start and finish the Game for 07 we will be a force to be reckoned with and Tech will still be a mickey mouse team from the weak ACC! Its Great To Be A GEORGIA BULLDAWG !!!!!!

Georgia Tech has become irrelevant to anything in the football world, and all their fans’ “sour grapes” will not change that. The DAWGS should drop them from the schedule and play Clemson every year. That could be fun. The “insect nation” could then schedule somebody they can beat! GO DAWGS! Go SEC! Go MATT STAFFORD!

Am I understanding this correctly? Weren’t the Tech fans recently declaring how much better their season was compared to the Dawgs? The Dawgs are now 9-4. Tech is now 9-5. Even Tech fans should be able to figure out who ended the season with the best record. Point to make…the Dawgs are better in their “bad year” than Tech is in their “good year”. Don’t give us any more of that crap about the ACC being superior either. The Dawgs beat the highest ranked team in the ACC, and they were 4-4 in the SEC.

Yeah, we were 4-4 in the SEC and worse in the SEC standings than Florida, LSU, Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky who was 4-4 also but beat UGA head-to-head to put UGA 7th best in the SEC this season.
However, while 4 of the 7 Florida, LSU, Auburn and Arkansas had better seasons this year than Georgia, Tennessee and Georgia end the season both 9-4, and Kentucky and Spurrier’s South Carolina both end the season at 8-5 as the SEC has 4 Bowl Wins to 3 Bowl Losses with our best 2 teams still to play BCS Games.
Auburn could still end up being the 2nd best team in the SEC.
Georgia ends up tied at 5th best in the SEC with Tennessee who also beat us head-to-head. When they were 17th and UGA Number 26 in the previous AP Poll, there was little doubt the vols had the better season. At this point, however as Fulmer lost yet another bowl game, it will be close in the final polls.
Tennessee vols had beat Number 19 California too, but they too could end up higher ranked than the vols themselves as well as that was the only win by the vols all season long against a ranked opponent.
But, the vols will end up with 2 wins over ranked opponents, because Georgia stands a very good chance of being ranked right directly with the vols in the final polls, both 9-4.
Georgia has the same 2 wins over ranked opponents that the vols have beating Auburn who is going to end up Number 7 or so in the final polls and Virginia Tech who is going to end up higher ranked than the vols at about Number 20.
South Carolina who beat Number 29 in the previous AP Poll Houston, has a slim outside chance to replace the teams at the tail of the Top 25 in the AP Poll.
Auburn did Georgia a favor in beating Nebraska yesterday, which knocks Nebraska out of the Final AP Poll because they were only Number 22 coming in and there are more deserving teams than Nebraska who beat no ranked team in the Final AP Poll.
And, while Auburn ended up with wins over Number 2 Florida and Number 4 LSU, those are the only 2 ranked teams Auburn beat this entire season too just like Georgia.
War Eagle said last season when Auburn beat Georgia, but Georgia had the better season and was therefore higher ranked, that Auburn had the better season, put crap on Coach Richt, who today does not have a losing record to Auburn at 3-3 as I told him Coach Richt would not on this day, and said that it was more important to win the game head-to-head. It is therefore unclear because he has run and hid the end of this season, how he views this season then in direct contrast to his statements this time last year that the worse ranked team who beat the team who had the better season, in fact had the better year comparing the two teams.
Maybe he will let us know on that ?
It should be interesting, understanding his logic, or lack thereof.
There remains the outside chance that Spurrier’s South Carolina could end up in the Top 25 too.
Let the records show that Auburn played 4 ranked teams and lost to 2 ( Georgia and Arkansas) and beat 2.
Georgia could have played 5 ranked teams with Spurrier’s South Carolina team’s outside chance to be ranked and beat 3 Auburn Virginia Tech and possibly South Carolina will be ranked too and lost to 2 Florida and Tennessee in our division.
War Eagle ALSO made THIS POINT all last year and all off season and all regular season this year too in this blog, that it did not matter what Auburn did against the 11 teams Tommy Tuberville had lost to who were all 11 unranked opponents of 5 or more losses including one loss to an 8-loss team, that all that mattered was what Auburn did last year he said against Ranked Teams and that Coach Richt was no damn good against Ranked Teams.
Now, however, his retort this will also be studied by all as it turns out that Coach Richt lost his 5th loss to unranked teams of 5 or more losses that season he lost to them and he too has a loss now to an 8-loss team (Vandie.)
So, we shall see how War Eagle views this season, shall we ?
If he doesn’t wimp out from the obvious statements of logic of last season versus this season for Auburn and Georgia on his every point to us.
61-17, LSU could tie Coach Richt in The Coach Richt Era with a loss tomorrow night, but that seems unlikely in view of the fact that Notre Dame not only played only 2 ranked teams and LOST to BOTH, but in fact Notre Dame has a LOSING BOWL RECORD and in fact has LOST every Bowl Game back to January 2, 1995.
Once the football world revolved around Notre Dame, now they 40 percent of the ranked opponents that UGA does and BEAT NONE OF THEM while LOSING EVERY SINGLE BOWL GAME OF THE LAST ENTIRE ELEVEN (11) YEARS.
Make it has lost every bowl game of the last 12 years in a row.
Weak Forest versus Louisville, everyone can get a good night’s rest tonight instead for the next Notre Dame Bowl Game loss of every single one in the last 12 years tomorrow night.
The football world revolves around Notre Dame. I think not.
61-17 is an average 10.1 Wins 2.8 Losses a season for Coach Richt. Mighty impressive.
I would like to think that we can pick up one more significant recruit commitment now, after this 9-4 and 61-17 of 6 years.
Oh, Tech fans where are you now ? 9-5 and already Not Ranked, explain please how your season a better one than our season at 9-4 ? I must have missed that post by you geeks.
It was just that Georgia Tech was ON PROBATION all season long this year that 3 of your starters FLUNKED OUT ACADEMICALLY that lost the latest game for Tech, right?
If Georgia had a roller coaster season, winning 3 in a row over ranked opponents, how does the AJ-C figure to paint Tech’s season now other than a downward spiral of Biblical Proportions, or is that too a roller coaster?

BuLLdawg Saturday was a great win for our Dawgs so please give it a break. Stafford would have had 4 to 5 TD’s instead of the one if Harris, Southerland, Ware and Milner had caught those sure TD’s. Plus the officials marked the ball short on that great throw down the sidelines to Milner as he never hit the ground until after he had crossed the goal line because the VA Tech defensive player was underneath him. So just enjoy this Great Win and chill out a little Please. Oh by the way have a Joyous, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.

Great game!!! Go Dawgs!!! 9-4 is a very respectable record in a tough league. Next year, as this year, will depend on finding a balanced offensive attack and defense. Still need a much more consistent running game.

Techies—- You let us and yourselves down again in the Gaytor Bowl. You are now seeing that freshman QB s make mistakes. Your new QB had a tremendous half but cost you the game with the same type of play that almost all freshman QB s make. I could just see the turnovers coming as his exuberance cost Tech the game. The only thing that truly amazes me about this season are the blogs that come from the Tech fans. The jealousy, spite, smack talking, and innacurate predictions that came out after our loss to Kentucky. Ask Clemson how awful Kentucky is. Yep—kicked their ACC a*. Mediocre huh? For Tech fans to find fault in our coach, our freshman QB, our record , amazes me. The fact that Tech signed Gayly to a long contract amazes me. You guys find ways to lose close games every year but you hate Ga for finding ways to win. Please join the SEC so you can prove your football prowess. Lets see how you fare With a schedule something like Boise St(non conf), South Caro, Tenn, Auburn, maybe Clemson(non Conference) Kentucky, Ga, Vandy , Oregon ST (non conf) and Fla I say youd struggle to win two. You real fans should blog to some of the Tech idiots and correct them, and tell them to shut up until you can fix your own problems instead of pointing out ours. You are one of the last programs I would trade places with. When and if you win some big games next year act like youve done it before. You guys sound so foolish. Thanks for the prediction that Ga would end up 6 and 6, lose to Tech, and have to watch your great team w/ Reggies awesome TD to interception ratio win that coveted acc title in such an up year for the ACC. I now look forward to Clemson, FSU, Miami, Va Tech, Wake (lol) and a few more own you. We need to have a pity party for Tech-of course we con only serve kool aid or sugar water for your bumblin asses. Yall are pitiful. Blog in anytime—Our mediocre team is going to continue to FLOURISH!!! Way to go GA. We NEVER give up!! OUT
