I think that was a dirty hit by Hall and you can’t blame Raiola for backing up his QB. I know if someone had done the same to Vick or any other player others would feel the same. D. Hall needs to clean up his act and concentrate on why he’s getting burned all the time. Remeber D. Hall you are not Deion & you never will be. If I was Raiola and saw Hall I would nail him and see how he likes it.

Funny Thing… If we (Non-Professional Athletics) made threats like that, we would have been arrested. Strange how sports allows for fighting on the football/baseball field, and Arenas (Hockey)/(Basketball)and yet no one is held responsible - other than little fines that the players can easily pay). These are the very people whom your kids are looking to as role models. Will we ever get a clue!

I didn’t see the particular play, but I certainly saw numerous instances of Falcons’ players making illegal hits. To the eye of a spectactor (by television), the accusations by opponents that the Falcons play “dirty” seem substantiated.

This b.s. needs to stop with D-Hall. Does Mora have any control over this team or in particular this “mouth”? That Lions player has every right to be upset with that punk move Hall pulled on Kitna and that’s from one of the Falcon’s BIGGEST fans. Whether he should stoop to Hall’s level and make verbal threats is questionable, but I’ve played sports and know how emotions in the heat of the moment can cause you to say some things you probably shouldn’t say-even though you’re right. Mora should have stepped in, either apologize himself on behalf of the Falcons and let the NFL world and fans know that this is not what the Falcons are about- playing dirty and being immature or make D-Hall do it. The worst part about it is this could come back on Vick and not even D-Hall and I don’t believe anyone has thought about that, ESPECIALLY DeAngelo. Think about, who better to make the Birds pay, especially since he tried to do it to another team’s QB-“let’s see how he likes it.” is exactly what they are probably going to be thinking. If that happens, I will NEVER forgive D-Hall for that. This whole situation is everything I’ve been predicting and fearing would happen with this guy. Just too much to prove. I don’t know what he feels he has to prove with all that money AND God given talent AND blessing to be in the National Football League, but he needs to grow up. Is this the example he wants to set for kids? His own?

I think you people need to stop hating on D. Hall. It is very funy how you guys suddenly develop a short memory with regards to his on the field performance. More importantly, non of these off the field “incidents” were started by D. Hall. Everybody else (Chad Johnson, Roy Williams, and now Raiola) seems to have a grudge against D. Hall. I’m glad D. While I don’t condone threats, i can clearly see why a lineman would want to take up for his quarterback (I hope our guys feel that way about Vick). That having been said, I do think Hall should quit talking and getting penalties we don’t need and focus on playing football. I saw the play and the picture clearly shows he was going for Kitna’s head. I agree with Roy Williams in that Hall is a good zone corner, but he has yet to show the shut-down skills of other corners in the game today, much less Deion Sanders. Hall should just shut up, stop taking cheap shots and play football.

I am a 24 year old black man born and raised on the Southside of Atlanta in College Park in the Dipset projects, I know you don’t know antything about that and wouldn’t last a week in that area without getting the business. 6 of my homeboys are dead, 2 in prison, and its’ just me any my ni##a Kieth left, shout out to Kieth if your reading this. I didn’t see it, but “what goes around comes around” and bites your own team’s QB. Hall is just setting up Vick for trouble IF he crossed over the line. I trust that the NFL players have an unspoken but nevertheless acknowledged line on what is beyond the play. If Hall crossed over that line then His own team members need to let him know.

Smells a lot like “Big Play Ray Buchannon” Remember what a chump he was? Sure he made one or two plays, but in all it was all media hype and less about speed and coverage. I don’t know, I think “Me Angelo” definately has the attitude and developing talent but I just don’t thinkright now he is as good as the other teams best wide out. He made Hines Ward, Chad Johnson, and now Roy Williams all look like they were headed to the pro bowl by playing a soft zone. Stop slapping like sissy Deion did and play “bump” coverage and tackle like a man.

Sounds like both players need to shut up and play the game. DeAngelo Hall is a great talent, but his mouth and his demonstrative actions on the field are going to rub other players the wrong way from time to time. I wish he would cool his act out just a bit, and just play the game. As an old high school coach once said, “Just act like you have been there before. Enjoy yourself, but do not let it cost the team.” And while I am all for the players having fun, because this is still a game they play, there is a time when you just shut your mouth, walk back to the huddle and go on to play another play.

I taped the game and have watched that cheap shot by Hall many times. Kitna was down and DH banged him in the head. The league should fine him good for that one. Raiola probably watched the game films too and got riled by that cheap shot. Stop with this Black and White garbage…….If the Falcons don’t do something to stop Hall, his attitude will get adjusted on the field.

We play the Brown this week that what Hall should be focus on. That water is gone down the river move on. Mora Are you the coach. Hall should be 1000% focus on the next Game. Since Hall is a member of the Falcons, he has already had his a* kicked by the Lions. I think he actually believes that he is as good as Deion though I haven’t seen him running back very many punts, fumbles, kickoffs, or interceptions for touchdowns.

How could Webster being out POSSIBLY hurt the Falcons secondary??? Whoever takes his place has at least an even money chance of remembering who he’s suppose to cover and where he’s suppose to be when the defense breaks huddle! As it stands right now, if two 80 year old grandmothers ran a cross pattern on the Falcons secondary, 2 cornerbacks and 1 safety would follow the one 80 year old…leaving the other 80 year old open for well….an 80 yard touchdown pass!!!

D Hall takes his shots during the game, there’s no question about that. I would like to see less of it for sure. If people don’t like it, go do something about him on the field. If you can’t hit him, then it’s usually the other team’s QB that gets the punishment (like what happened to Vick in the Giants game). Talking trash to the media when you have ample opportunity to seek him out on the field is what a punk would do.

To those usual suspects trying to start a race war on this blog…again just stop. It’s always the same people generalizing a whole population (blacks, whates, etc) because of what someone wrote on a blog.

DeAngelo Hall is way overrated. He needs to shut his big mouth and learn how to play football, which includes tackling with shoulders rather than pulling or pushing. You never see receivers short-arm passes on this guy because they know he doesn’t like to hit. Mr. Blank - the class and play that Brooking and Kerney bring to the defense are more than offset by this thug talking big mouth.

The ‘hit’ by Hall was nothing… that’s why Kitna hasn’t said anything and why he didn’t take offense to it. Kitna went after Boley for hitting him from behind as he was sliding. The play by Hall looks worse on replay but that happens when players are ducking/sliding, etc. No big deal.

Both D-Hall and D-Raiola should have handled it like men, one-on-one in private. Both were wrong for talking to the media. Football is an emotional game and the media just loves to put more gasoline into the fire - they wouldn’t have anything to write about if they didn’t. Remember, the media is a doubled edged sword. It will make you and break you at the same time. It’s true nature is to stir up controversy. Controversy draws the masses. The sooner pro athletes understand that the better off they will be. Hell, look at what the media brought out with this blog. It went from trash-talking to racial stereotyping.

Have all of you forgotten the illegal head shot that the falcons did to Ben of the Steelers—and I am not a Steeler fan—-That was an illegal shot to the head and nothing was done about that. The Falcons defense is a very dirty team. Until the NFL steps in and finds them heavily and also Blank —they will keep playing dirty. The bad news is this—some of you are right—-the other teams will come after Vick—which might not be a bad thing considering he is not a leader anyway. The only way the Falcons will ever be a team is when they learn to play as a team—which they do not know how to do—no matter who their coach would be—they have no displine nor any respect of themselves to be a team. Yes they will win some games and maybe make it to the playoff’s and that will be it. As far as Vick ever winning a Superbowl—-I doubt it—He is not good enough of a quarterback to lead them to the Superboal and win..

When a quarterback slides feet first all you have to do is touch him. He is down. That rule was put in play so the quarterback would be protected so he would not get hurt. There was no reason what so ever for hall to even hit him. They should fine Hall big for what he did. It was unnessary and unaccusable. It was a cheap shot nd he needs to be suspended for what he did. NFL has been turning their backs when it comes to protecting any quarterback.

As you can see by the pic you guys ran in the paper this morning, that D.Hall play on Kitna was bush league. D. Hall always running his month and how tough he is during warm-ups every sunday. When he gets out on the field all you see from him is diving at running backs legs.What he needs to do is close his mouth and play football and get off how hard he is and how hard he had it growing up with this tough guy image. You are a corner! Shut your month and know your role.Then maybe every week the opposing team won’t be calling you out.

Now back to the question at hand. No one can get mad at the lineman from Detroit, it’s his job to try and protect his QB. If he thought it was a cheap shot then let him say what he wants to say. I just saw a replay and it looked like Kitna was down and if that is the case then he should have said something and Hall should have been fined. Think about it, if someone hit Vick in that way in which it happened this year. Vicks teammates as well as fans would have something to say When I played college ball if someone hit me late it would have been hell to pay if they did not have my back. Because the team should be a band of brothers.

Let me say first off that I wish we had a defense full of players with Hall’s attitude. In addition, some “old school” clown on this blog said that Hall needs to learn how to tackle and he does not know how to hit. Are you f@#@%^g kidding me? I’ve seen this guy on plenty occassions come up and lay the lumber a rb. I remember two hits in particular on M. Faulk and Magahee. That Raioli dude had ample enough times on the field to get even with Hall if he thought the hit was illegal. Hall is right, the guy is a chump. Now that we have a capable corner opposite Hall, you haters we see how good this guy is. I bet if this was Scott Case handing out “street justice” on the field, he would be seen in a different light. If this was a white player, he would be considered a “throwback” or a “lunch pail kinda guy”, a player with a player possessing a “cocky swagger”, or some other stupid B.S. First Vick, now Hall. I for one viewed the play. I think D Hall was wrong for seemingly attempting to vent his frustrations on Kitna. At least that is what it looks like on th surface. As for Raiola, talk talk talk. The Lions had the ball for a couple more series during the game. Nothing. If he was so upset, he should have done something during the game and not talk afterward. In regards to the race issue, we live in a nation that has racial divide inundated in its foundation. It is moreso institutionalized in ‘06, but it most definitely still exists. So it is not surprising that as soon as someone black does anything, they are automatically labeled a thug. Sad.

First off P. most of the people in the streets are black and the last time I checked most black men can fight. Not just picking on DeAngelo, there are other softies lining up behind the linebackers - he just needs to shut his big mouth. It was a dirty play and Hall need to just admit it and shut up. He keeps trying to be Deion. He is ot nearly as good as Deion was at this point. I never hear the Falcons whine or threaten a player every time a team tries to put Vick out of the game. The players get paid big bucks to be physical because it is a violent game. Just to set the record straight:

DeAngelo Hall, the black guy on the Falcons, was the recipient of a threat.

Dominic Raiola, the white guy on the Lions, was the guy who made the threat.

So naturally, this blog is full of semi-racist comments against black people and people decrying hip hop culture. If one were to read the comments here, you would think D-Hall was the guy threatening Raiola. I guess if someone else threatens you, that makes you a thug. At least if you are black it does.

You all have to remember that D. Hall is young and today men do not mature until they are close, or in their 30’s and atheletes a little longer because they are like kids with more money than they can spend. They have not had to deal with the real responsibility as most everyone else. That is the young lion in him like most guys growing up with his background. Years to come he will realize that what was said was not really that important. On another note, being from the street does not make you stronger than say someone with money. I have seen Frat boys from middle class put it down on some project boys, so you can dump that theory. D. Hall does need some counseling at his young age because this actually could lead to assault charges, jail time and someone getting killed all over something that really doesn’t matter. It took me years to realize this after seeing people getting killed because they cut someone off in traffic. Remember the stupid thing with Ray Lewis in Buckhead. Lets talk about running out the schedule, not this BS.

This is a situation where a young man (D-Hall) made an illegal hit on another professional football player (what ever happened to mutual respect?). He was caught on camera and fined by his employer (Yes, people the NFL is his employer as well) and continues to run his non-stop BIG mouth, instead of being a MAN and apologizing to Kitna and moving forward.
