Braves, Sutton part ways
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Turner Sports announced Thursday that Don Sutton is out of the Braves broadcast booth after 17 years.
Breaking up the veteran crew of Sutton, Skip Caray, Pete Van Wieren and Joe Simpson was expected when TV games on TBS were reduced in favor of Turner South (soon to be relaunched as Sport South) and Fox Sports Net and its announcing team, led by Bob Rathbun.
What do you think of Sutton’s departure? What other changes do you think will be made? Which announcer could you not listen to or watch a Braves game without hearing? Will this move, and any others in the future, alter your plans to follow the team on TV or radio?
