A doubleheader sweep at Shea Stadium Wednesday has put the Braves in more dire trouble. Smoltz goes down in the 4-1 opener, thanks to Carlos Delgado, and Kyle Davies gives up a leadoff homerun in an 8-0 drubbing to continue his miserable return to the rotation.

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank says he wants a new state-of-the art stadium by the year 2016 to replace the Georgia Dome, which has been home to the team since 1992.
