Who’s your player of the year?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Picking an ACC player of the year might be just as difficult as to predict as who’ll win the conference tournament, depending on some upsets in recent games. But it’s not too soon to speculate on who will earn the league’s highest individual playing honor.
Which player would you pick? Tyler Hansbrough of UNC? How about Jared Dudley of Boston College? Could Al Thornton of Florida State win out while playing for a team that’s not assured of an NCAA bid? Then there is the Virginia backcourt of J.R. Reynolds and Sean Singletary. Are either one of them POY material? Anybody like Zabian Dowdell at Virginia Tech?
And what about your first-team All-ACC team? Give us your best five players of the season.

At the moment I would place my vote for Jared Dudley of B.C., he’s playing the most consistently right now,but let’s wait and see how things pan out in the ACC tournament before we make a final decision, I think Mr. Hansbrough may have a little something to say about this scenario of who’s the top player.

(1) Jared Dudley (1A) Al Thornton (3) Tyler Hansbrough
Dudley carried BC throughout the season playing big in big games consistently. ACC coaches have had a hard time guarding Thornton who plays big in big games. He has carried FSU for two seasons to respectable finishes. Hansbrough plays with energy and is surrounded by great talent.

tough call between Dudley and Thornton. I’d probably give the nod to Dudley, but can go either way. My 3rd player would Singletary from VA, not Hansborough.
