Northview juniors meet with Auburn’s Chizik

Northview defensive lineman Denzel McCoy and tight end Cameron Fordham each enjoyed one-on-one time with coach Gene Chizik during their visit to Auburn on Friday.

“We each met coach Chizik at separate times,” said McCoy, who received a scholarship offer from Central Florida on Friday to push his total to 32. “He’s a great guy. We met the entire staff.

“They have great people down there. We both left there very impressed.”

McCoy said Auburn’s campus exceeded his expectations.

“The campus was phenomenal,” he said. “It looks brand new, to be honest. From the practice field to the locker room, it was just awesome.

“I had heard people talk about the town being small. But from what I saw it’s nowhere near being small.”

McCoy, who has an offer from the Tigers, said he hopes to return Auburn to watch spring practice on April 4.

Fordham’s lone offer is from Central Florida.

Why hasn’t Clemson or Georgia offered this kid? Can he play? How can he have that many offers and not one from Clemson or Georgia? Something doesn’t add up.

Denzel, come to Auburn, where we own Georgia and Georgia Tech. Nothing like playing for the greatest school (Auburn), and then coming back home and owning Georgia and Georgia Tech. War Eagle!

Auburn grad, what world are you living in? Its one thing to talk a little smack, its another to talk and have no facts at all to back it up. Auburn “owns” UGA and Ga. Tech??? Tech beat Auburn TWICE with Reggie Ball and Chan Gailey. 2003 Tech 17 Auburn 3. 2005 Tech 23 Auburn 14. UGA has beaten Auburn the last 3 years in a row by a combined score of 99 - 48. Allow me to give the scores to you - 2006 UGA 37 AU 15. 2007 UGA 45 AU 20. 2008 UGA 17 AU 13. Since Mark Richt has arrived, Georgia has beaten Auburn 5 out of 8 times. At last count, UGA and Ga Tech have beaten you 5 consecutive times combined.

I live in the Northview district, where the football team just went 0-10. These guys will have to carry the team next year if northview expects to win a game.
