North Gwinnett OL JaWuan James counts 26 offers, including Georgia Tech and UGA
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

North Gwinnett’s JaWuan James, who is considered the state’s top 2010 prospect at offensive line, has added offers from LSU, Kentucky and Boise State. He now counts 26 early offers, and Louisville could be next.
“I heard some people saying I had narrowed down to six schools but that’s really not the case,” James said. “There are six schools that I’m really focused on, and now it’s five because Oklahoma just got a commitment from an offensive lineman. The five I’m focused the most on are Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and USC. I’m going to re-evaluate and find another school to take the place of Oklahoma.”
Georgia Tech and UGA have both made James a top 2010 recruiting target.

That’s so sad for you Tech nerds. You couldn’t make Tailer Jones top 15, and you can’t make JaWaun Jones top 5. Both kids are a stone’s throw from The Flats. Boy that 45-42 win over Georgia set yal on fire with recruiting. Looks like GT is headed to another No. 49 recruiting class lololol.

I’ll take the win in the game over a recruiting win any day. Priorities my man. Look into it. Oh wait that is ugay’s claim to fame, reruiting national champs. I’m still waiting for next year to come for ugay. That is your slogan right? You do know what a slogan is right? Don’t want to confuse you.

The recruiting is changing at Tech, but it’s going to be a slower process than just one year. When/if Tech passes for 200 yards and runs for 200 yards a game, then we’ll see some real changes in recruiting. As Tech players continue to get drafted, the high four-stars and five-stars will say “oh yeah, I can get drafted out of that school.” That’s what will continue to make Tech recruiting stronger.
Of course, GT has been to a bowl for what, 10 straight seasons now (as has UGA), and has had a lower average recruiting rank than about 25 other teams that have not been to a bowl game as often as Tech. So, that tells me coaching still has a lot to do with winning games, not just recruiting.

ok i think its pretty obvious this kid is scared of a little competition if he backs out on oklahoma bc they get 1 commitment already on the OL!!! WE DONT WANT U AT UGA with that mindset, does he wanna be the only OL to sign so he has no comp. !!! this is not good, just big.

James is the best OL in the state, if not country. Oklahoma didn’t have a chance anyways. We’ll take him all day at Georgia. He’s legit.

I think we will pick this guy up. He has grown up an hour away from Athens. Besides, what O-lineman wouldn’t want to play under Searels. On the other hand if this kid is worried about competition he better not come to UGA. We will be deep there for the next two or three years. I would say that Tech also had a good chance (him being from Gwinett) but it seems Tech isn’t one of those 5 he has a high interest in. Top notch offensive talent doesn’t want to play in the triple option but good luck.

Dan, schools make offers and tell recruits how many they will bring in at a certain position. Generally what they tell them is true and almost always it is to let them know that if they don’t commit quickly, they may lose the offer. Not sure what happened in this case but am sure this kid is not running from competition. He would be great for UGA and I hope that is where he decides to go.

The only thing for sure with this kid is that he won’t go to tech.

Hey SoSad, don’t care if we have a 15, 27, 34 or 49 class, just as long as the score stays 45-42, or any thing else as long as GT wins. You guys will argue about anything to take the pressure off the loss to GT last year. Now I expect some of you will jump on this but who cares, ‘cause a loss is a loss is a loss is a loss.

CPJ thought recruiting would be harder than his past coaching assignments, but not this hard. That is why not a lot of coaches have been successful at Tech over the past 20 years. More and more big programs are recruiting Georgia.

So what happened to you guys again in your own backyard against a 5 loss SEC team that UGA smashed?? Johnson’s gimmicky offense was exposed by a healthy SEC defense. He’ll be gone soon enough

You have to forgive chad. He spent his ENTIRE Friday night camped out in front of his computer all by his lonesome venting his frustrations over his failed life and blaming those mean, overachieving UGA fans as the culprit.

Lol, let’s see, who should we draft, the lineman from a pro style offence that runs and passes 50-50 or the lineman that can cut block; which is illegal in the NFL, and only pass protects occasionally? Hmmm, tough decision, I’ll take the one from the school that doesn’t have kids dealing drugs, being accused of rape, bomb building or bolting for a better opportunity in div II.

Maybe he’ll come to UF and play in a REAL offense!!! One that racked up 49 pts. against the mutts; while their “offensive offense” only scored 3 pts. (10 counting that late pity TD against our 2nd teamers) And to think, the D was mostly sophomores/freshmen and they returned EVERYONE this year! Hmmm… play for the 2 outta the last 3 NC’s or play for the pre-season favorites?! Lol!

Yeah, he should go to UF where they have zero problems allowing thugs and felons to play for them. Heck, this nut threatening his own teacher is like child’s play to what they normally admit.

A Tech 30th ranked recruting class can beat a #1 UGA class on the field because, as we see every year, UGA always gets less from their recuits than any team in college ball.

I love the inferiority complex the bee fans have. They finally beat UGA by a whooping 3 points and they want everyone to think every kid that plays for UGA is a 5 star recruit, while their entire team is made up of nothing but walk-on rocket scientists like Michael Johnson, LOL!
But whatever you have to do to help make yourself sleep better at night little guy. Tech has more hardcore felons on AND off the field than UGA could ever dream of having. Maybe you should start recruiting some of your school staffers since they like getting arrested too :)

Why are the really good prospects dropping Tech? This happened to us last year too. We beat Ga. and we had a good team. I thought this would bring about a change.

If he doesn’t want to come to Tech who cares? Sounds like a stud - but UGA(y) has a bunch of so called studs that can’t tackle, catch, block, etc. Give me a #40 recruiting class with a coach that has a pair and teaches fundamentals over that other team any day! GO JACKETS!!!! 45-42!!!!! That ALL that matters.

How can Tech compete against the really big schools that can recruit? We beat Georgia but all these recruits know Georgia was really beat up last year and we only won by three points. CPJ is good but CMR is in another league. We need to quit kidding ourselves. Davis at UNC, Saban at Alabama, Miles at LSU, and Flaoida are far superior. Why do we have CPJ running the triple option if we want to be a really good football team?????

What makes winning against you mutts is the fact that you talk sooooo much smack. How does that foot taste??? Didn’t we beat you guys the same year you were supposed to win a NC? Keep on getting those 5-star players and we’ll keep beating them.
GT is better at developing talent. One thing’s also going to be true the next few years: the Knowshon Moreno’s of the future will be more attracted to Tech than UGA.
