What’s your question for Lane Kiffin for ESPN’S ‘Pardon The Interruption’ guys?

Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin is scheduled to be on ESPN’s “Pardon The Interruption” at 5:30 p.m. today.

PTI’s Twitter website says “Lane Kiffin has agreed to join us for 5GM on Friday’s show. What would you like us to ask him?” Click here to go the link

If you could ask Lane Kiffin one question, what would it be?

Why do you claim to “avoid negative recruiting” when you falsely accused Florida of cheating in recruiting? That’s negative recruiting in the highest form, Lane.

does this idiot deserve an interview? he’s insulted just about every top tier sec coach this offseason, and probably isn’t done.

I guess he wants to get his licks in before the a** whippings start on his vol. team during the season. Too bad he’s made his vol. players the bulls eye, but that’s how cowards operate. They set up other folks to take the punishment they should be getting.

I would be embarrassed to be a vol. alumnus and fan.

You say that because UT has such great athletes, coaches, fans and facilities you don’t need to use negative recruiting…does that mean if you didn’t have any or all of those things you would recruit negatively? The thing about values and principles is they don’t mean much if you only use them selectively - situational ethics, I think it’s called.

How about checking the TN strip clubs for some Bulldog thugs:

Bama sheriff nabs fugitive at TN strip club

Get Reprints Want to use this article? Click here for options! ATHENS, Ala. — A north Alabama sheriff said he knew just where to look when a prisoner walked away from a work-release job: A Tennessee strip club.

Limestone County Sheriff Mike Blakely arrested Preston Lee Colwell, 21, of Athens at the Boobie Bungalow near Ardmore, Tenn., on Monday following his escape.

Blakely said it was the third arrest he’s made at the club, located at an exit off Interstate 65. He checked it on a hunch after hearing the man might be in the area.

“We had an armed robber one time that we caught there. If we hear they are in Ardmore, I always check out the Boobie Bungalow,” said Blakely.

Colwell allegedly stole a truck from a construction company in Athens after walking off his work-release job at a chicken plant late Sunday or early Monday. Blakely said he drove by the strip club, saw the truck parked outside, and arrested Colwell inside.

Sheriff’s Department Chief Investigator Stanley McNatt said Colwell was sentenced earlier this year to 20 years for three theft convictions.

“I don’t know why he ran,” Blakely said. “I guess he didn’t want to go to prison. Now he’ll be going for a long time. I hope he enjoyed his last lap dance.”

Authorities charged Colwell with first-degree escape and theft after his capture.

Anybody else see Loser Lane on PTI??? He was very cautious and scripted with his answers and was using alot of “coach speak”. Two things really stood out to me. 1: It’s obvious that the Tenn AD or whomever has pulled the reigns in and it almost seemed like he is trying to rehabilitate his image. 2: He looked a little nervous and you just get the feeling when you actually see this guy speak that he is over his head.

By Poor nervous Dave

March 13, 2009 8:42 PM | Link to this

You haven’t even seen him speak before to know that is his standard method of speaking. You’re desperately trying to read something into it that isn’t there.

We’d all be better off if you just said, “I don’t like what he’s done so far, and I live in abject terror that he is revitalizing the Tennessee program to get them back to that 45-5 run that they had in the late 90s.”

At most, he realizes there is a double standard to who can trash talk (CUM, SOS, and Satan) versus who isn’t allowed to (everybody else).

March 13, 2009 9:48 PM | Link to this

Yeah the 90’s, I remember them well!! And you’re right, I DON”T like what hes done so far but I’m hardly alone in that assesment! If anyone’s alone in their opinion, its the delusional Vol fans who in their desperation to revive their program have sold their souls to the Joker. And I don’t even think Kentucky or Vandy are “shaking in their boots” over this guy, in fact I think they see a real opportunity here to leap frog your once proud program on a year to year basis. And as far as Florida or Georgia are concerned, well we did that a long time ago!

AND I WILL SPEAK V E R Y S L O W L Y H E R E. T H E N A T I O N ’ S # 1 R E C R U I T was at UT’s practice tonight in an orange Polo and UT Jacket. If I were a Tenn fan (which I sure as hell am not) I would ask him:

1-Did you use the same recruiting tactics back when you recruited your wife?

If so, DONT CHANGE ANYTHING!!!!

I think Kiffin is dumb like a fox. Tenn needed some juice. Yes, compared to Richt, he has no class, but since when has that mattered to Tenn fans? The more that people comment on Lame Boy, the better he likes it. My prediction , which I hope is wrong: Kiffin will end up being a very good coach.

The good news : if and when that happens, He wont be staying in K-town—he will go back to the NFL.

p.s. Vince Lombardi would have gone 4-12 with Al Davis’ Raiders and all the chatter you hear now from Oakland is just to save face for their mentally diminished owner. Kiffin may be a jerk, I dont know, but I am not going to base my judegment of him on his Raiders experience or his loud start at UT. Lets see how he does against the Gator Pope, Nick Satan, and St. Mark.

Okay, here’s the daily dose of L.Kiffin news: “…By John Clayton ESPN.com, March 14, 2009 Former Oakland Raiders coach Lane Kiffin fired back at owner Al Davis on Friday night after a letter sent to the University of Tennessee by the Raiders became public. Kiffin filed a grievance with the NFL Coaches Association after he was dismissed in September 2008 for what Davis described as acts of insubordination and lying. Kiffin, who is seeking approximately $2.6 million of salary he believes he is owed under terms of the remainder of his Raiders contract, is scheduled to give a deposition next week.
But before that could take place, the Raiders sent a three-page letter, dated Jan. 22, 2009, to Tennessee. The letter, which was first obtained and made public by CBSSports.com, details the Raiders’ grievances against Kiffin and accused him of “inducing” assistant coach James Cregg to breach his Raiders contract and leave for Tennessee. The Raiders also want access to Kiffin’s employment agreements with the university, which announced Kiffin’s hiring Dec. 1.”

Hey Coach Kiffin: When you and your staff meet to discuss how to do things, do you give your father the privilege to start with his ideas or do you start by whatever pops out of the first person to speak? And do you pay any attention to what is being discussed or do you say this is my show and I will run it my way?

MY THOUGHTS IS THAT YOUR ANSWER SHOULD BE THAT YOU TAKE IN WHATEVER THE ASSISTANTS OFFER AND SLICE IT UP AND MIX IT IN WITH YOUR OWN IDEAS AND STRIVE TO KEEP HARMONY AMONGST YOUR STAFF. i COACHED FOR 40 PLUS YEARS IN VARIOUS SPORTS BUT NOT AT YOUR LEVEL. MY LEVEL WAS MOSTLY AT HE BEGINNING LEVEL WHERE THE COACH HAD TO DO MORE TEACHING THAN COACHING. wHERE WOULD COACHES LIKE YOU BE IF WE DIDN’T LAY THE GROUNDWORK FOR YOU?

What a lot of BS! Kiffin just put the two best RBs on the commit list, raised the recruit rating to 8 or 10 and got the Vols all heated up to play. What else could you ask for in 3 months? That would be a good question to ask. All the BS is from those who are afraid of what comes next season.
