Jackson’s Neiron Ball thinking about following brother to UGA
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Categories
Jackson junior Neiron Ball, brother of Georgia defensive end Neland Ball, said he is surprised he has not received an offer from UGA. But he thinks one is coming real soon.
“I’m going to UGA’s Junior Day on March 21,” he said. “I think they will offer then.”
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound defensive end said he has about 10 offers, including LSU, Alabama, Clemson, Tennessee and Stanford.
He said he does not think having a brother at UGA will affect his decision to go to Athens.
“I like UGA, but I’m weighing my options,” he said. “Even my brother tells me that it’s my decision.”
Ball has attended Junior Days at Clemson and Tennessee, and he really enjoyed the Lane Kiffin fiasco when he and his coaching staff took off their shirts.
“It was crazy,” he said. “It got me excited, but it didn’t really change my opinion of Tennessee. It was just kind of funny.”
Ball said he hopes to make a decision after the upcoming football season, but he knows he wants to play in the SEC.

Gooff, While cleaning my attic earlier, I stepped through the ceiling and I bruised my ribs pretty bad. I need your address so my attorney can get in touch, because now I think my ribs are broken (my wife had to help me up off the floor) because I laughed so hard.

Geoff, the comment about UT has recently been confirmed by numerous news reports. Thanks for UT’s new motto!

GeoffDawg, well said. Every time I talked about Tennessee’s topless recruiting to my wife and or my coworkers, we just bust out laughing. This is too funny.

GeoffDawg, props. That made my morning.
Does UGA really want this kid. He is pretty small for a DE. I know he can gain weight but…

If UGA wants him, they’ll get him. At least that’s how it’s been working out lately.

According to some of the scouts out there, he can add and easy 30-40 lbs to his frame if not more. Just because he not 6’4” 250 lbs now does not mean he does not have the room to grow. Neland was 6’6” 216 when he came in and now is around 240lbs. They are both very fast for their size. Good luck to him and I hope he gets an offer soon.
