Worth County’s Tukes invited to Junior Day at Georgia Tech
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Worth County tight end/defensive end Justin Tukes has been invited to visit Georgia Tech early next month.
“He’ll be coming up to Georgia Tech in April,” Worth County coach Scotty Ward confirmed. “That’s what [Tech co-offensive line] coach [Todd] Spencer is telling me.”
Though he’s still waiting on his first scholarship offer, the 6-foot-5, 220-pound Tukes is generating plenty of interest.
“He gets something everyday from somebody,” Ward said. “As far as anybody making a hard effort at him, Georgia Tech and Duke have sent quite a few things to him.”
Tukes, who also plays basketball for the Rams, scored a 1020 on the SAT and carries an 86 average in the classroom.
“Georgia Tech is one of the schools he’s definitely interested in,” Ward said.

Worth County doesn’t get the credit or coaching they deserve but they produce “pound for pound” the best athletes in GA - Bar none.

“86 average?” What would Yech want with a B student? I thought Yech only recruited rocket scientists that could easily get accepted at MIT. But a B student!?!?!?
Anyone hear Michael Johnson’ s interview on 680 The Fan the other day? LOL!!! BAWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA!!!!!!!! He makes the least intelligent sounding player on LSU’s team sound like Einstein!!!! It was down right sad, LOL!!!! “STUDENT ATHLETE?” Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!!! BAWHAHAHHAHAHA!!!!

SAT score is too low for admission to Tech. Looks like the kid has some work to do in the classroom before he could be a jacket. He is proberly over qualified for Georgia though!!!!!!!!

It pains me to say it, but the last thing Tech needs is for Michael Johnson to be anywhere near a tv camera or microphone if he’s not suited up to play. I did catch some of that interview and the moment I realized it was him I wanted to turn it off. Nice enough guy, but let’s get real, Forrest Gump would give him a run for his money in a debate. Any Jacket fan on here that thinks we only recruit brainiacs is just playing spitball games with UGA fans. We’ve pursued and recruited a number of kids over the years that UGA has even said no thanks to. So please fellow GTers, stop embarrassing me on here.

Jacket4Ever:
You don’t need our help embarrassing yourself - you are doing a pretty good job of it yourself.
Not being able to do an interview on radio is no indication of the intelligence of Michael Johnson.
BTW, RY - I see that UGAg is now offering free admission to their Spring game to fill up the stands for ESPN. I thought that all St. Richt had to do was announce the time of the game, and all their fans would show up, no matter what the cost. Are THEY going to offer free hot dogs too??

But that Wonderlicht test does. And his (Michael Johnson) abysmal score on that test at the combine is another reason he has dropped into the second round on most draft boards. The guy ain’t very bright.

Don’t confuse articulation with overall intelligence. Just look at David Justice. People who show up well on camera or mic…but are what I call deceptively stupid. Yeah, it’s my term.
