Southwest DeKalb RB Kendrun Malcome receptive to UGA’s interest
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

One of the area’s most touted juniors, Southwest DeKalb tailback Kendrun Malcome is anticipating an offer from Georgia but said Florida State is where he likely sees himself in college. Things could change, though.
“UGA is one of my top schools, but I want to go out of state,” he said. “I’ve liked FSU for a long time, but if UGA is the best fit then I will take a look at them. I’ve been in Georgia my whole life, so I’d like to see new schools and be in a different atmosphere.”
The 6-foot, 215-pound junior currently has offers from Kentucky, Florida State, Tennessee, Alabama and Ole Miss. He attended Junior Days at UGA and Alabama.
“I think UGA or Michigan will be the next to offer,” he said. “I haven’t heard from Georgia Tech.” Malcome, who also runs track at Southwest, hopes to make a decision during or shortly after the football season.

Kendrun, UGA’s last running back with the initial’s KM did pretty good for himself. You would look good in red & black.

We’re deep enought at RB and he’s no better than any of the 4 or 5 deep that we have. Let him go to FSU and we can recruit additional OL or DL

GA might make an offer at the 11th hour if they haven’t signed any decent RB’s.

He really should go ahead and commit to UGA just in case he gets an offer.

Hon. Sen. Blutowski is aka The Big Bug. Not only can this guy not spell (Blutowski rather than Blutarsky) he is also stupid. A few days ago he posted as The Big Bug and I ripped him a new one. He later posted as Hon. Sen. and tried to make a cute comeback by saying I was like a dull knife. He said “read my post at 3:02…..”. The only post at 3:02 was from The Big Bug. What a dumb a__!! LMAO!!
So Malcome hasn’t heard from tech? I guess he “can’t handle the academics”, or “they didn’t want him anyway”, or “he has a character problem”. Which is it, Hon. Sen. The Big Bug Mr. Dull Knife??

I’m suprised that this kid has any offers because old-fart Coach Godfrey failed to use him properly.

Suprised, Buck Godfrey may be an old fart as you put it, but you must give him his due. He gets kids into college. I’m not talking about the high profile kids. They get themselves into college. He gets kids into schools that we may not know about. He cares and he gets it. The goal is for the kids to go to college. He is one of the few coaches who does not define his job as… my job is to win high school games not to get your kid into college.(SEE FRANK STEPHENS AT TUCKER)27 and 2 record and is not responsible for one kid going to college. Suprised this kid Kendrun will be ok. He has the skills. Its the other kids who need a BUCK GODFREY.

I agree that coach Buck Godfrey cares about the Kids at SWD and he will get them into college. However; with the talent at SWD, he should win more games. I respect him very much. If I had the talent that he has in in the past 5 yrs, if utilized right, I can assure you I would have won a championship. The talent there is under utilized. Utilize your talent coach Godfrey and bring a championship back to SWD. Assistant coaches….let’s turn this program around. It’s not all Buck Godfrey’s fault. I love high school football and will always enjoy SWD.

BTW, if he wins more, he would get even more Kids into college. A winning tradition in past has brought major colleges to recruit at SWD. Winning brings about exposure and the lack of exposure brings about a decline in scholarhip offers.
