M.L. King RB Mack Brown planning trip to Georgia

One of the nation’s top juniors, M.L. King running back Mack Brown will make a visit to UGA this Friday. He was invited by Georgia’s new running backs coach, Bryan McClendon.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound tailback said this is his second visit to UGA, but his first visit was for the Georgia Tech game. “I never met the coaches, I’ve only talked to them over the phone,” he said.

Brown, who received an invitation to play in the Under Armour All-American Bowl in Orlando on Jan. 4, has nearly 20 offers, including UGA and Tech.

If he’s not afraid of competition then he’ll be all Dawg. If he’s scared to compete then he’ll take the Hill tactic :)

tech has absolutely no chance here.

the big time competition for uga is uf (with usc probably coming in as well). brown listed uf as his early favorite.

tech simply just does not compete for the top of the top players

Reality…no offense but, the UGA backfield is not something that really strikes the fear of god in opposing teams and likely not a recruit. If this kid is as good as advertised, he can probably go to UGA with the hopes of early playing time!

SecisFootball,

None taken, but let’s be honest, which school between the two has produced far more bang for the buck at the RB position? Samuels looks like the real deal, and if King comes around he’ll be a stud as well. Not to mention the handful of other kids already on the roster and incoming freshmen that could be the next practice squad star like Moreno. The bar is raised high.
