North Gwinnett OL JaWuan James touring Alabama, Clemson

North Gwinnett offensive tackle JaWuan James has a simple strategy in picking the college he’ll attend and play football:

“Get out there meeting coaches and visiting,” the junior said. “I have to know where I want to be by getting out there and finding the place where I’ll be for four years.”

He’s gotten off to a fast start, with a Junior Day visit to Georgia in the books, and upcoming visits to Alabama and Clemson.

“It’s kind of crazy. It’s happening so fast,” James said of the hectic pace. “But I’m so happy and thankful they’re all interested in me.”

The 6-foot-7, 290-pound left tackle picked up his 13th offer Monday from Miami. “I talked to the O-Line coach and they’re real excited about me,” he said. “They want me down there to visit some time this spring.”

His other offers are from Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Central Florida, Oklahoma, Michigan State, Maryland, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Florida International.

I would love to see what JaWuan could do at Georgia under the coaching of Searels. He could be an all-American left tackle. Whatever he decides to do, I hope the best for him in the recruiting process.

my question is when is georgia going to begin making offers to these juniors. it seems the process is starting much earlier and so are decisions as well.
