North Gwinnett DB Trey Sims “can’t picture himself” playing for Georgia
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Categories
North Gwinnett defensive back Trey Sims grew up in Athens, but the 6-foot-3, 205-pound junior said he can’t picture himself donning the red and black.
“UGA is one of my favorite teams, but I just can’t picture myself playing there,” he said. “I grew up in Athens, so I’m not trying to get back there. I want to get into a different system.”
Sims, who lived in Athens for 13 years, recently attended Junior Day at UGA. He has not been offered by the Bulldogs.
Sims is visiting South Carolina this weekend. He thinks, and is hoping, Duke will be the first school to offer. “I would commit to Duke right then and there,” he said. “It’s a good academic school and they may not be the best in football, but at least I can say I went to Duke.”
Sims said he wants to wait until signing day before making a decision. “I want to keep my options open,” he said.

Very good comments coming from a FB player…I only wish all the other kids would wake up and realize that you can only play for so long before your skills are worn down. Duke is a great school and you would be smart to get a degree there.

Good luck at Duke. Everyone has to go where their heart and their mind leads them.

Go with your heart Trey, if UGA is not for you, then Duke is a very good choice. Great education and you get to watch ACC basketball at its finest.

Apparently, no mention of Tech due to (1) Trye grew up in Athens, not Atlanta, so it wasn’t pertinent to the topic, and (2) he’s not even on Tech’s board.
Nice try, RealityShow…..how’d the signing day party go, btw?…..
We signed some GOOD’UNS, Boys!

Trey if you can’t see RED & Black you must be blind, so go to Duke and have the BLUES for 4 or 5 years.

Good for him going for the education but I would pick Wake Forest or Vandy in his situation. You may even get to a BCS bowl with Wake.

Tom:
You have to try to ignore RY as we try to ignore rambles on and on.
That is an interesting photo you have linked. It makes one wonder how you gained posession. Was this forwarded to you by one of the hood wearers or maybe one of their friends?

Tom,
What does growing up in Athens have to do with it? Yech is putting together the greatest football dynasty the world has ever seen. SURELY their soon-to-be greatness can stretch just down the street to Athens, right? :)
Will you show us all a copy of Yech’s “board” so we can see your lie, I mean, so you can show us how “informed” you are.
Tom, you never did tell me where you got that cute little white outfit at. That was sweet that your boyfriend took the picture for you :)

First off reality ” Kiss my Tech Pech Yech” Colorado didn’t deserve to share the 90 national championship. It took them 5 downs to score against the Missouri Tigers from the goal line and win the game.Thats right 5 downs to win the game. The idiot refs forgot which down it was and granted them a 5th down. And for the rings I don’t believe each member of Tech’s team got one. Just the seniors. They were the first team to beat Ga. in what 7 years so they wanted something to remember it by.. So keep your facts straight. Oh I’m sorry that’s hard for you to do when U GAY. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! I’m really looking forward to next season because I believe we will celebrate another victory against you gals. GOOOOOOOO TECH

BAWHAHAHAHHAHA!!! Yechies talking about refs? Yeah, you know all about refs giving games away. Say for instance UGA in both ‘99 and last year.
Colorado played 4 teams that finished in the top 12. The douchebags played 1
Colorado played 3 teams that won their conference. The douchebags played 0
Colorado played in a real bowl against a real opponent. The douchebags played in a bowl that doesn’t even exist anymore against a team that barely finished in the top 25.
Colorado = 1990 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!!!
And the entire team got the Cracker Jack rings, you tool

Reality Yech I don’t know which was better the cracker jacks or the ring. Oh well I’ll just settle for another ring next year. Reality Yech I must admit I do admire Ga.’s program. My hope is that coach Johnson can bring us closer to their level. This year was the first step. I am smart enough to know though we must recruit well to have a chance. We are well on our way to revitalizing a great rivalary. And as for Colorado if the refs don’t screw it up they aren’t even mentioned as being co-national champs. Anyway here’s to a great rivalry—GOOOOOOOOOO Tech

He sees UGA for what it is….a farce masquerading as a contender…..consistent top 5 in recruiting….underachieving, can’t beat Florida, and is now not even the best team in the state….the new slogan for Georgia is….”come to Georgia,,,,the Wisconsin of the SEC.” Ouch that’s gotta hurt….sad thing is it’s true.
