Former Buford RB Storm Johnson expecting great things at Loganville
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Categories
Storm Johnson, one of the state’s top tailbacks for 2010, began classes at Loganville on Tuesday. He transferred from Buford, where he helped the Wolves win last year’s Class AA championship.
“Loganville is great; they have really made me feel at home,” Johnson said. “You should count on great things from Loganville this season.”
Johnson was asked about leaving Buford. “My parents just moved onto a different situation,” he said. “[Loganville] is a better fit for me. We moved, and we’re starting fresh at another place. [Buford] taught me a lot of things. They worked me hard and made me a better person.”
Johnson has eight early offers, with his most recent from Florida State and West Virginia.

Transfer to another school? Why not Grayson where he was thru middle school? Oh I remember, there’s a young man named Pemberton that he would have to share with and Storm wants to be “The Guy”. Absolutely crazy…

Everybody quit hatin on Storm. He is a great football player and he feels he has the best chance to succeed at Loganville. Get off the guy’s case. He doesnt have anything against Buford or anyone else. Just leave the guy alone

He making the right move becuz he has alot of talent and he only shows a little because he shares time with the other backs. So he wants to show off his true talent his last year.

I’m guessing Loganville won’t be playing the Beach Boys “Be True to Your School” before games this year.

Grayson is loaded at RB and every other position-he was smart to choose Loganville.

I have been watching him run since he was in eighth grade. Congrats to Loganville. You just got one hell of a running back. I don’t know why he moved but it doesn’t really matter, he has to go where his parents move right? If he keeps doing what he was doing just watch for all the scholarships pour in. Good Luck to him.

This peculiar and surprising occurrence is the high school equivalent of John Smoltz bolting for Boston. Storm is a tremendous talent and a far better citizen who will be an immense asset to both the Loganville Athletic program as well their student body.

Sounds like the annual recruiting/transfer merry-go-round is in full swing.
2 errors in some of the above statements, Storm never went to school in Grayson and I find it hard to believe that anyone in Grayson’s junior class would consider a transfer to Peachtree Ridge. These kids played together as sophomores and made it to the quarterfinals, this year as juniors were a bad snap away from playing in the final. You better believe they are looking forward to their senior year.

Grayson will be one of the favorites to win the state title next year.Peachtree Ridge also will be strong.Graysons junior and senior classes next year are stronger than death.Grayson has not lost a player for any reasons including transfer as of yet.Things may change before season starts but not yet.

There will be a lots of things changing at grayson if we can’t get schools to recruit our players.

I agree with biggreen 94. There is no reason why those kids at grayson is not getting recruited.
