Tennessee offers Gainesville QB Blake Sims
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Word arrived on Thursday that Tennessee has offered a scholarship to Gainesville junior quarterback Blake Sims.
“That felt really good,” said Sims, who also has offers from Arkansas, Michigan, Ole Miss, South Carolina and West Virginia. “It’s great to get an offer from a school like Tennessee. I visited that school last summer.
“It’s close to home, and that’s one reason my family likes it. I just thank God everyday for every offer I get.”
The 6-foot, 180-pound Sims says he hears from the Mountaineers often.
“West Virginia is a nice program with a lot of good coaches,” Sims said. “I think I could fit in there.”
Sims says he hopes to attend upcoming Junior Days at Auburn and Tennessee. He has extra incentive to visit the Tigers.
“Auburn is talking about offering me,” Sims said.

Blake Sims is a winner and a quality young man. Any program would be fortunate to sign him. He is a true athlete, a tremendous competitor and has a winning attitude. He’s not great but is the kind of athlete that always competes and tends to come out a winner. He’s made Gainesville proud.
