WELCOME TO UGA!!!!! I can’t wait to see Cox having plenty of time to throw behind a veteran offensive line. Green 6-4” on one side, Brown 6-5” on the other and Durham 6-5” in the slot is a NASTY combination.

Brown and Green are going to be a sick combo, hopefully for the next 2 years at least. Maybe 3 if we’re lucky.

Wow. He breaks about a hundred tackles in that 6-minute video, and makes the same number miss tackles.

You’ve made a LOT of people happy today Marlon! My heart skipped a beat a little while ago when a bogus report was posted that you had signed with Ohio State. I went out for a while and returned to read the REAL news. Congratulations on a great choice and welcome to the Bulldawg Nation! Now help us land Orsen Charles and we’ll have one of the scariest offensive attacks in football. No weaknesses!

Fantastic addition. It’s great to see that we landed a great WR prospect. I wish all of the kids who had to make a tremendously tough decision today success in their futures. Remember folks, they’re 17-18 years old and have the world in front of them. We don’t need to give any grief to any kid who did not pick our school to play for. It’s twisted how some people say how good a kid is when he is considering UGA and how crappy he becomes when he picks another school. Good luck to all of them.

45-42, wow all you Nancy Boys should get that tattooed on your arses! Really, but don’t forget to add the year too. Make it your pin #, or the last 4 digits of your phone number — that’s a real good idea, just be sure to thank me (give due credit, Techies aren’t very imaginative).
I honestly cannot recall the scores of any of UGA’s victories against Tech in the past decade — or over any school for that matter. It doesn’t matter, 1 point, 10, 20, I don’t care. It is of little significance, especially when we regularly win against GayTech. Lead the series — always will!
But Marlon … much LOVE!!! Welcome to UGA, screw Tech

Let’s not forget we also signed 4 star WR Rantavious Wooten. He’s a bit shorter but seems like he’s a great addition too!!! Looking forward to seeing that ball being thrown deep!!

YellerSkeeters are PeterEaters, I remember one score against tech. It was 51-7! We just didn’t have rings made for the occasion. Congratulations to Marlon Brown and welcome to UGA. Rantavious Wooten is suppose to be a terror in one on one competition. He should compliment UGA very well.

People dont really understand how good the passing game is going to be in 09. Had Stafford never come to UGA, Cox would have been just like the guy at Texas Tech. Now he will be for one year, especially with Wrs in house.

I watched this guy’s high school tapes and I wouldn’t go singing his praises just yet… we’ll see what he’s made of when he stops playing against the slow midgets he faced in his private school bush league in Memphis. Don’t believe what I’m saying, go look for yourselves on youtube. That is small time football at its worst and I think even my grandma would have a field day playing in whatever weak league he played in. I’m not sure how they could even field a full 11 players, looks more like 6 man football to me.

Hey, Verdict Still Out, You don’t become the #1 receiver in your state, and #3 in the country, without somebody doing there homework! The verdict may still be out in your court room, but all the evidence points to this young man being the real deal. When we get Orson Charles, put him in the slot, and force DB’s to go one on one with Green and this kid, and open up the middle with A. White, Ga gonna be dangerous. The kid everybody better focus on, is T. King, how quick have we forgotten this was the #6 ranked receiver in the country last year. Look for him to have a break out year. They’ve comeback with the verdict, and you have been found guilty, for not knowing this offense is gonna rock!

Slow down dawg fans, I agree the verdict is still out on this guy, but it was also out on AJ Green as well and look at what he did. In order for fthis guy to get on the field, he is going to have to learn how to effectively run block first. If you are a real UGA fan you know coach Richt preaches blocking by the receivers. Also, remember the other receivers that was recruited before Brown, I would like to think that these guys are ready to play. There are a lot of unproven receivers on this roster. AJ played last year because he showed glimpses of being great early, can Marlon do the same thing? If he dosent produce much this season, he will get his turn, but I want to see King, Moore, Duhram, Troup get their chance because remember they were highly recruited as well. My message to Brown, welcome to UGA and remember you want to play right away so you need to out work the guys thats already there and get stronger and faster.

Hey- just to clarify, I’m not saying he doesn’t have all the upside in the world. He could well be the 2nd coming of AJ and I think his measurables alone are worthy of his high ranking. But his competition in HS was soft as baby doo. Trust me, as a GT fan, the potential for this kid teaming with AJ Green is not a fun thought. But his highlight reel from HS looks like he’s playing against elementary school kids.. I wasn’t aware of what he did in the All Star game, but that sounds a little more promising.

Big Mike,
You sure are confident after losing your starting QB, RB, and WR.

Verdict still out,
You sound too logical and sane to be a Yechie. Are you sure about that?
I’m pretty confident that any kid who is projected in the top 10 at their respective positions is going to look like a man among boys on their highlight reels.
I mean, I doubt looking like you’re on an even playing field with your competition every Friday night is going to get you to be a highly sought after recruit.

RealityYech,
Not all of us “Yechies” are completely clueless when it comes to football.. But having played at Tech, I can tell you that the top recruits I played with or against were men among boys in HS. But this guy’s film looks more like men among toddlers. Looks like he’s playing against Helen Keller’s Pre-School of the Blind.

February 6, 2009 10:29 AM | Link to this
You should post more often then. The Yechies on here are destorying what credit your fan base has left. What years did you play?
Well maybe he’s just more manly than usual? Ha, the state of Tennessee isn’t exactly a hot bed for talent, so I would assume any great football player there would appear more freaky than usual had he been in a state that produces more D-1A talent.

Hey verdict still out-The kid played in the under armour game against the best players in the nation-he looked great and was dominate in practice that week-now get back over to the tech blog and get to know your recruiting class ranked 49th.I didnt even know they ranked classes below 40.GEEK

Looks like to me that “Verdict Still Out” failed to watch the Under Armor game. Did you see that game? You claim to have watched his tapes, did you see him live? I hope you noticed the fine reception and the 5 Star defenders who were blown away. You’re just jealous because Yech will never have a 5 star WR as long as PJ is there.

Can’t we all just get along? I’m not sure why Verdict Still Out decided to throw their 2 cents in, but give them a break. They sounded like they were just trying to be a little objective and are the polar opposite of most Techies who blog on the UGA threads.
Ramble On needs to take some notes from this person.
