Georgia has signed all 17 commitments. Now what happens with the Bulldogs?
UGA recruiting coordinator Rodney Garner said he was “hoping for some surprises.”
Some of Georgia’s top national targets have yet to make decisions, including wide receiver Marlon Brown of Memphis, safety Jawanza Starling of Tallahassee, Fla., offensive lineman Bobby Massie of Hargrave, Va., defensive tackle Kwame Geathers of Carver’s Bay, S.C., and tight end Orson Charles of Tampa, Fla.
Geathers and Charles will likely wait until after signing day.

Does anyone know UGA’s chances at the above players or when they may announce?

We already have signed a superior class, and landing just one of the said above prospects that are still out there would really put us over the top!! Another great day to be a Dawg!!!

Starling at noon. Between FSU and USC. Marlon at 3:45. Between UGA and Ohio St. Charles visits USC this week and may announce in a week or two. Good chance it’s UGA. Geathers, who knows?

Anyone know what the status of Jarvis Jackson is? We could use him!

Actually, we are pathetic. This looks like another under achieving class, full of criminals. Man, I wish I wasn’t such a pathetic weiner, and one day, I hope to see a girl naked…. ;)

From what i’ve read, Massie committed to Ole Miss. Marlon Brown is considering OSU (this could be a BS source) and is supposed to accounce this afternoon around 3:30-4:30. I doubt we get starling as he’s outta Tally (prob going to FSU). I think our best shot is to get Orson Charles. If we can get 1 or even two of these recruits we’ll have an awesome day!

Massie has signed with Ole Miss.
It would be awesome to land Brown since UT stole away Eric Berry a couple of years ago.
I think Geathers will be a bulldog and Starling is up in the air.
Anyone think we can get Jarvis Jones?

It’s fun to assume that this is another great signing class, but let’s wait and see what it looks like in two years. 4 and 5 star players all look great as 17 year olds, but we’ll know more after they hit the campus and the books. Remember, we just lost to Tech and when was the last time they had a top ten class?

Jarvis Jones has never been high on us. He has been destined for out of state for a long time. Florida was the leader, until Spikes announced he is coming back. It is going to be between USC and Texas for him. Starling is between Notre Dame, FSU, and UGA. My gut says UGA, but he has remained quiet all along. Brown is down to UGA and OSU, and supposedly he has been wearing OSU gear around school today. We were thought to be the leader, but Ohio State has done a very good job with him since the beginning. I thought he was a lock, and I am truly worried. As far as surprises, I hope Garner was talking about others besides these. Geathers does not have a committable offer from UGA, apparently because he has yet to qualify and probably will not do so.

Jawanza Starling is to announce between noon and 1pm today between UGA and fsu…could go either way…Marlon Brown is to announce between 3-4pm and is deciding b/w UGA, ohio st and tenn with the Dawgs looking to have inside position…looks like it’s down to fla and southern cal for Jarvis Jones…no one is sure about Kwame Gaethers but it seems to be down to three; UGA, gamecocks and tar heels…but it seems already another top 10 recruiting class for Georgia…Go Dawgs !!!

As long as the defense continue to leak like a broken pipe, it will be an average season at best next year

UGA starts early but quits way too early when it comes to recruiting. Sure, they come around after everyone is locked up with other schools and try to dangle their unused schollys (like they didn’t know months ago that Stafford and Knowshon were leaving early and vacating their scholarships).
There will be no recruiting “surprises” for the dawgs just unused scholarships. Oh well, instead of getting playmakers, they can reward a kid or 2 on the scout team with a full ride. More importantly, they will still be able to say that CWM doesn’t have the number of players he needs to run his incredibly well thought out defensive schemes.
Actually as long as CWM is at UGA, recruiting doesn’t much matter. He’s made a career out of wasting top 10 recruiting classes. This one will be no different.

Expect some surprises people — a couple of the regional services are reporting Marlon Brown is likely to pick Rutgers, that Starling may be headed to Nebraska and that Massie is likely to select University of Cinninati. Jermichale Houston, a speedster from Cudahy, WI, told the local paper he’d sign with Georgia if offered.

Ryan: Re Starling, bet the house on FSU. Brown isn’t coming either. When was the last time a recruit held a media event on signing day and picked UGA? Goldston or Stroud maybe but that was so long ago I really don’t recall.

Hate to say it but I agree that the dogs are whiffing big time today on the last minute commits.
