Meet Washaun Ealey — Georgia running back signee, Class of ‘09

Washaun Ealey, of Emanuel County Institute, signed with Georgia today to play running back. Here’s a little bit more about this new Bulldog in the recruiting Class of 2009. Welcome him to Bulldog Nation with congratulations below in our “Comments” area.

Why he likes UGA: “Hey, Bulldog Nation, I’m coming in ready to work. I’ve been a Bulldog for most of my life, and I’ve always loved UGA’s history. I know Athens will be a wonderful place for me. I grew up liking the Bulldogs, so deciding to go there was easy. I want to help win a 2009 national championship. Hopefully, I can go compete with the other guys and tote the mail.”

Congratulations Washaun! I’ve been following your career for a while now and I’m glad you’re officially on our side now. Remember to work as hard in the classroom as you do on the field and your life will be filled with everything you’ll ever need!

Watching this guy on film, looks like a half a notch better than Moreno’s HS film. His style looks a lot like Garrison Hearst. I think he can get out of a jam better than Hearst. People are going to be shocked at how quickly he grabs National attention in 09. He is that good.

Looks great on film. Good balance, knows how to hesitate for a block and great burst of speed. Hmmmm. Sounds like a contender for a whole bunch of carries.

31-0 at the half?!!

Should be a decent back - runs hard - looks sluggish hitting the line - does not have big time speed.

NO Tent Richardson.

If the kid can block - would use him in 2 back set - maybe bulk him up to be the power back or a full back.

ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL TIDE!!!!!

Hey Bammer, you inbred moron, who is Tent Richardson? I can’t wait to see more of the Alabama resurgence. Alabama is going back to being the suck a%$# team it was before you won a few in 2008. If I were a Bama fan, I think I would try to remember that your pathetic team finally got a win on the Dawgs in the new millenium. Sounds a lot like a moron Tech fan don’t he?

Other teams fans, please stay off of these streams. This is between the Dawg fans and the new additions to the Dawg Nation. Dawg fans, ignore them. Responding only makes us look as pathetic. The only thing worse would be doing the same thing on their threads. More importantly, Washaun, welcome to the Dawg Nation. I am truly looking forward to seeing you run past, around, and over opponents in the near future.

Washaun Ealey’s 4.78 40 that is listed on the scout.com site is not his best 40 or his normal speed range. He ran 4.45 at an earlier combine. When he ran the 4.78 he was still recovering from an ankle injury.

Trent Richardson is the number 1 back in America. A beast of an athlete. I can’t wait to see either of these running backs play.

I know this is an old post… But is Ealey in or out? Word on ‘da street’ (Hwy 80 that is) is that Ealey won’t qualify for UGA and is OUT, along w/ Moody who had some wife issues, somebody else’s wife that is…
