The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Categories
Chris Burnette, of Troup High, signed with Georgia today to play offensive guard. Here’s a little bit more about this new Bulldog in the recruiting Class of 2009. Welcome him to Bulldog Nation with congratulations below in our “Comments” area.
Why he likes UGA: “I’ve been waiting forever to get up there, but it’s almost time for the dream to come true. I’m looking forward to getting right to work. Georgia was my dream school from middle school on. It was the main team I rooted for. Georgia was ranked No. 1 in the nation when they offered me, and I want to get them back there. My main goal is to contribute in whatever way possible, to hope to help them win a couple national championships. The most important thing for me is to win games.”

Welcome, C-val. Intelligence is worth .4 in the 40 and makes for quicker adjustments during a game. I really like this guy for our O-line. Let’s play some footballllllllll.

DOUG, the only mystery is how one young man can be so outstanding and impressive in so many areas of of his life. Spiritual life, academic performance, football skills, and a solid down to earth work ethic. His long time dream of playing for the GA Bulldogs is about to come true—right after he (hopefully) becomes the validictorian of his graduating class.
WELCOME to the DAWG NATION Chris. You have a great career ahead of you. I know you will will not disappoint.
