The mystery of Braxton Lane is solved in Oregon

Sandy Creek’s Braxton Lane dropped off the face of the football universe, only to majically reappear on signing day in … Oregon.
Lane, who skipped his senior year of football to focus on baseball, decided that indeed he liked football, and signed a football scholarship with Oregon on Wednesday.
Lane told DuckSportsAuthority.com that Oregon would let him play both football and baseball. Lane also said that if he is selected high in the June baseball draft, he would worry about it then.
The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Lane reported nearly 10 early offers as a junior, including Georgia Tech, Auburn and Michigan.
Lane told DuckSportsAuthority.com that he missed playing his senior year at Sandy Creek, which went undefeated in the regular season and advanced to the second round of the playoffs. “I always wondered if I would have taken back a punt or something. I missed being out there with the guys. It was hard.”
